To be perfectly honest, although I despise the blob factor as well as the 6v1 crap that usually happens, I'm completely against this.
It's a big pile of poo.
If 6 battleships shoot you, it should feel like 6 battleships are shooting you. It shouldn't feel like 4, or 3, it should feel like 6.
This is another perfect example of people moaning that they're being ganked, and threatening to quit the game, that's attempting to force CCP into making stupid, and unrealistic changes.
Just because you have 6 people shooting you, it doesn't mean that the damage of five of the agressors should suffer penalties.
We all train our skills, and we should be able to use them as their bonuses are described, without stupid penalties because someone's unhappy they got attacked by 6 people.
Hows about we draw an even line. If CCP are going to implement this, they should implement a system too, for mining corps. If more than one person in a mining corp or gang is mining at the same time, they should get a yield penalty, in exactly the same way as pvpers get a damage penalty.
No wait even better, if two people are hauling in the same gang or corp together then they should get a cargo and speed penalty.
This idea is rediculous, I even disagree with the changes that I just described, they were written to express a point. The point that it shouldn't happen.
People boo-hoo and expect CCP to change the game every time they loose a ship. If you don't want pvp at some point, then I'm sorry to say, you shouldn't be playing this game.
The beauty of Eve is PvP, the game practically thrives on it. Without it, the market would grind to a halt, and be flooded with ships and modules, corps would go bankrupt, and players would leave en masse.
Endless posts come up on the forums about people moaning that they've been ganked by 6 people in lowsec. LOW-SEC. It's called that for a reason. No guarantee for safety.
Every time someone looses a ship of value to them, and are angry enough they come on the forums and start this :
It's not on. They're warned about dangerous low sec beofre they jump in, it's no one elses problem that they've turned off the warning or have decided they want to ignore it because the sentry guns will make them immortal.
People need to realise that CCP have given the tools to avoid dangerous areas, they've given the tools to avoid potential ganks, and hotspots for pod killing, as well as the warning you're given when you jump into low sec.
Use them.
I strongly disagree with your post.I strongly support these changes.
I dont whine about loosing ships.
I whine about combat lasting 5 seconds for huge battleships, for wich you earn quite a bit of time. The most fun part of the game last ridiculisly short.I whine about the fact that its reflex that is improtant to activate modules not tactical thinking or any manoevers.
The situation in Eve is not natural as there are no obstacles and even 50 ships can all easily fire at same target, while normally 70 % of them would have been blocked becuase other ships are in their way.
MAking the the battles last longer , diminishing return of concentrated fire will result imho in much more fun battles , with much more diverse tactics.
The statement sounds great, a hope to improve one of the biggest flaw in Eve imho.
***************************** A solution to gank/to much dmg.Plz read and reply.Make Eve more tactical!!
