I think it would be a great addition to EVE's UI if players could enter links to chat channels in the chat field, similar to how we can currently link items, names, corps, and almost everything else.

Yeah, this seems like a simple suggestion and probbly one often overlooked. If you're driven to threaten others with harm or violence because of what they do in game, you can't separate fantasy from reality.-á That 'griefer/thief' is probably more sane than you are.-á How screwed up is that?

With some HTML\Java code but can't be done IG. You have to write the code in something like Notepad++ and then paste it IG. I'll dig mine out when I get home and post the syntax in here. OK, I'm home and will have to screenshot it to my Imgur Account to bear with me but the steps are these: To get the joinChannel: ID you need to join the chat channel IG and then browse to somewhere like this "C:\Users\Maximus Aerelius\Documents\EVE\logs\Chatlogs". In there will be a file named Help_20131008_181451.txt. Open the Chat Channel you wish to link and in the top of that file is: Channel ID: -123456756 Take the whole of that number and the '-' if it has it and enter it into Notepad++. Anyone can have instant linkable chat channels if they follow the details I posted up and you should feel bad for not sharing if you have an easier way.
