It is with great pleasure that I am able to inform the community at large that the collection of friends that IÆve personally surrounded myself à have finally got off our collective rears and formed an official in game alliance: Vertigo Coalition [VC]
There is many ways I could have chosen to make this announcement, but I fear that JimmySav has the humor posts down, SirMolleÆs ego can suffer no competition, and we made sure to spell check before creating our alliance. All that being said, I really just like to get down to it.
Vertigo Coalition started out without anyone really trying to build anything; lets face it we arenÆt the builders that CyvoksÆ crew are, we arenÆt the territorial behemoth that BlacklightsÆ crew is, we just had fun shooting up people together win or loose. We find ourselves today in the same spot we were at then, just a bunch of people who want to listen to RobbieÆs drunken commanding and Fluf loosing yet another Scorpion while looking for that next rush of PvP fueled adrenaline. Why not make it official? Seems as good an idea as any we've had so far!
Vertigo Coalition exists to provide fun PvP opportunities to our members, win or loose. While we might be the wolves who hunt down the sheep and hunters of the various organizations we fight, and while some of us might fall to the guns of the hunters who chase us, we are not out to destroy the existence or enjoyment of the person behind the keyboard. That doesnÆt mean that the loss we might inflict wonÆt sting û it might û but we know that on the other side of that red square is another player just like us, looking to have fun. We are here to provide that challenge, that threat, that unknown local one system away. But what we arenÆt out to do is to destroy you.
Vertigo Coalition is just an above average collection of guys and gals who have decided to focus on PvP, we will leave the galaxy altering and play style destruction to others. If we have to alter our goals, theatre or look for another herd to cull from, we will. We wonÆt be shamed by it, as we will have had a lot of fun along the way û the trip is the where the fun is, not sitting at the top of the ladder. We get a bit dizzy up there*

Good luck chaps, good to see you making it easy on those of us who have to adjust standings in such matters, 1 entity is so much easier than 2+, whoever gets the job of your alliance standings is just about to find that out ;)

 I'm seriously not trying to flame, I just know that a little while ago you guys were fighting F-E or whoever, and trying to regain your name as pirate hunters, and now you are joining an alliance, when I thought that you considered all alliances pirates. Just confused here...

I don't think they (CELES)were getting any good fights. Typical pirate m.o. is to gank at 150k and run and hide or log off if damn near any opposition shows up. So it's really not worth traveling 30 jumps only to have baddies log off when you get there. I'm sure they will still kill rats when they seem them.

Sounds like the MO of most small sized gangs when operating in alliance territory tbh.

Looking forward to this new era of EVE, should be a good laugh.
I will still shoot pirates when in Empire, as I am sure the rest of CELES will. Pure pirating hunting as we found did not give us the PVP that we love, had some good fights already and looking forward to more.
Also the peeps I've been fighting have been pleasant and respectful in local, the same as we have done. These peeps know who they are :)

we gave total pirate hunting a go again, and i just bout slit my wrists... we found we were missing out on diff parts of EVE... ppl were having fun, we werent.. pirates didnt want to fight us, and their was no way we were able to force them...
VC seem to have the same interests as us, and after looking at all alliances, they came out the clear favourites.
Pirates will still be a hobbie, and all those mails sent to me about Rancer will not be ignored.
Hope this answered a few of ur questions... i wish the new alliance good luck.
