I did my first L3 Extravaganza mission last night. I got to the 3rd or 4th stage, killed the "boss" and completed the mission objective. However, I noticed there was still another gate in what should have been the final stage. When I tried to jump through the gate it said I needed a Palladium key. I pretty much blew up everything in my path (including structures), but never found a key on that stage. Perhaps I missed something on an earlier stage? What is behind these gates? I did leave a few dozen walls behind, but it just got really boring blowing those up.

If you do a lot of lvl3 missions AND clean up all the cans, I am sure you should have some paladium tags somewhere in your hangars.
The only misconception is that the tag should drop during the mission. Sometimes it does, most of times it doesn't.
It drops from Arch angel centurions if I am correct.

its the bonus lvl and u need the palladium tag :)
you can get it from other missions or buy it off the market.
Be warned though u'd need a battleship or an af to do the bonus stage

It's kind of irritating for those of us who do Amarr missions. There are no Guristas or Angels pirates to hunt, and no Sansha or Blood Raider extravaganzas.

Uh? I used a palladium for a guristas 2 days ago.
Maybe you mean level 4s, I know it has changed there, just don't remeber from which type to which type.

When I did this, I used palladium tag to enter bonus stage.
Agent warned that he ha no information what's up there.
Prepare to take out 1-2 BSs plus frigs and cruisers.
I had poor setup, so couldnt clear enough rats when they swarmed over me. Had to warp out and had no tags left to do it again.

Gurista Palladium tag for Gurista Extravaganza level 3 bonus stage.
Angel Crystal (not 100% sure of this type) tag for Angel Extravaganza level 3 bonus stage.
And the tags do NOT get used up.

Angel Palladium for lvl3 extra, has a reasonably good chance of dropping during the mission "Angel Suprise" - the tag IS used up accessing the bonus gate, whose star turn is a single 800k BS (+support and sentries).
