Edited by: Serenity Steele on 04/10/2005 10:58:34 In order to increase the rate of expansion into 0.0 and realse a true 'Exodus', the market fees should go to the station owner in both PC and NPC cases. This is particularly relevant for the Gallente Market Outpost.
As the game current stands, there are two fees on market activities: - Broker Fees - Transaction Charges
Broker Fees In the case of NPC stations, the fee (1% - skills) goes to the NPC corporation holding the station.
This should be the same for Player Owned Stations. Plain and simple.
Transaction Fees It's not entirely clear who the transaction fee goes to. If the transaction fee goes to the SCC, then it should be same in NPC stations
If the transaction fee goes to the NPC owner corporation, then it should also go to the PC owner corporation.
Disclaimer Obviously my alliance has a vested interested in this outcome. For now, our business case is made without the need for these fees. However, having these fees would increase the investment return and hence increase the number market capable stations that could be built.

I thought it was obvious that the taxes/broker fee were just tools to slow down inflation in game.
Or maybe it wasn't put in the game for that reason...

outpost owners should get something though...maybe not all, but atleast a portion.
Or allow outpost owners to include thier own fees...dont get greedy though.

Even if it is a mechanism to slow down inflation in the game, it is counter productive in this case. Simply because if the broker fees don't go to the station owner, then docking fees will be charged.
Even if it was coded that the broker fees went to the station owner, with no option to make it customisable would be a significant improvement. Investment Opportunity:

Why not all? Where is it 'meant' to go for NPCs? It should be the same.
There is an option for outpost owners to include their own fees in the form of docking fees - however that doesn't capture remote buy/sell orders that are using the outpost's market service. Investment Opportunity:
