I'm running 6GB DDR2 800 in mine. i7s and DDR3 isn't really necessary for a game like EVE. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTzA_xesrL8 |

Grats on the score, better than mine (although mine would probably have been better if I had rebooted during the last 6 weeks and hadn't been running two instances of eve and an one instance of SimCity at the same time, but who cares...
The eve client attempts to be compatible with ten year old shoddy laptops. It's necessary because it's an international game and subscriber numbers rely on people playing on the laptop you sold 8 years ago in Bangladesh.
If you ask me, yes - beef eve up in any way you can - I can run whatever you throw at me and if I can't run three instances perfectly smoothly, I have enough money to build a system that will.
The qurestion is if this will do eves subs any good, which I doubt. In eve, I don't really mind the graphics anymore, I just look the spreadsheets and I don't need fancy graphics for those.
Graphics-wise, they lost me when they 'updated' Amarr ships, primarily the Curse, but then, that doesn't have anything to do with performance - just funamental aesthetics. You know... morons. |

do you expect nvidia to do something to support a Dx9 game better in the future? ______________________________ just because you're paranoid it doesn't mean they're not after you |

nVidia is cool and all, but doesn't have anything like the power of 7990. Imho it should not partnet with nVidia, but instead optimize for at least both (amd and nVidia) or choose the best directly, AMD. |

He is right you know
CCP need to crank up the graphics updates to 11 and flush out the scrubs running eve on dinosaur PC's dragging us all down.

Apparently my AMD drivers are not approved, but meh. HERE
I was only mentioning to the missus a couple of days ago that I needed an upgrade, not bad for a 2yr old rig though. |

Everything stock
@Chal82 first time round my AMD drivers were reported as not approved, updating to latest version solved the problem but did shave a fraction of a % off some the benchmarks. |

Updating mine seems to have improved the score overall, I was looking at the SLI titan scores, -ú1800 worth of graphics card is insane. |

The problem is that those scrubs make up ~15% of the player base - which is admittedly much, much better than the ~50% it was at last year. Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

It won't ahppen ebcause there is no point to do so. The game is too small to matter to them as long as there are no crippling bugs preventing play altogether. |

The DX9 problem is what we were told at one of the Art panels at FanFest.
I've got a quad SLI GTX 690 system and Eve is poorly optimised for it. 1 card is completely idle when playing.
Furthermore, when people were letting the fireworks off outside Jita the other day my FPS was dropping down to ~12.
Yeah, "first world problems", etc but it's a shame Nvidia and/or CCP can't do more about this. |

You would be better off letting your awsome GTX670 do the physx also as the GTX460 dedicated physx will only slow down your 670...
try it out bud...
