Tuesday 6th May 105 will go down in history as the day when the Capsuleer Age truly started. It was the day when the first cohort of CONCORD-registered pod pilots graduated from academies across the four major factions.
Amongst those new pilots was a group of Amarrians who understood that being a capsuleer is as much about service as it is about power. The names of the members of this group will not be familiar to most of the people reading this. But Takumi Vetinari, Snook, Jobe Katarn and others created something truly great on that day, for they founded PIE Inc.
Since that day ten years ago, PIE Inc. has gone on to serve the Empire with distinction on many occasions. From the prevention of piracy in Sarum Prime to the defence of the Bleak Lands against the Shakorite regime, PIE Inc. has stood for truth, justice and the Amarrian way. Indeed, to many people the name of PIE is synonymous with Amarrian loyalism.
It would take far too long for me to list all of the corporations and alliances that PIE Inc. has fought against while defending the interests of the Empire, but needless to say they include Midularians, Shakorites, non-aligned Minmatar terrorists, Gallentean do-gooders, Sansha supporters, Sani Sabik cultists, heretics, blasphemers, separatists, traitors, emancipationists, pirate groups of all shapes and sizes, anarchists, mercenaries and null-sec power blocs. At least some of those groups declared that they would utterly destroy PIE, but it has endured through all of the trials and tribulations.
But why? What makes PIE Inc. different from so many of the corporations that have come and gone over the last decade? I believe that one answer lies in its origins. You see, from the outset PIE was a collaborative effort. Many corporations are personal vanity projects or cults of personality. These groups may do very well for a time. They may become very large. But sooner or later the leader will step down for one reason for another, and when that happens it's just a matter of time before the whole group collapses.
But PIE isn't like that. PIE isn't unified by a single person, but by an idea. And so when a leader moves on, the corporation continues with someone new at the helm and the idea endures.
And what an idea it is! Simply put, it is that true greatness can only be achieved by serving God and the Empire. It is an idea that is bigger than any individual, and it binds PIE together. All of PIE Inc.'s policies over the years have had their origin in that one simple thought, and it's what drives the corporation to this day.
Ten years. It is a long time for capsuleers. It is somewhat ironic that whilst capsuleers are often considered to be immortal so few of them are active for more than a few years. Likewise, not many corporations survive the test of time. PIE Inc. though is one corporation that has survived, and what's more it will continue to thrive in the future as will the Empire that it supports.
So congratulations on finishing your first decade of service PIE, may there be many more.

You truly are an inspiration to those who seek to support and defend the Empire. You have, despite what a lot of these clowns will say, managed to stay relevant on a battlefield for 10 years, which is something seldom other Capsuleer controlled organisations have been able to do.
On behalf of Black Watch Guard, and the Amarr 7th Fleet, I offer my congratulations to PIE and all those who have served under her colours.
I would also like to offer my personal congratulations to the men and women of PIE. I am sure there are a lot of fresh faces since my departure some time ago, but I can honestly say that my time flying under the PIE banner, with some of the most experienced pilots in New Eden (a lot of organisations claim this title, not many have the actual experience to back-up the claim) was a highlight for me. Well done Praetorian's.
As always, should PIE require the assistance of BWGRD or the A-7TH, you need only to contact us and we will be there at your side.
Here's to another 10 years.

No snark. It is a very strong accomplishment to exist for 10 years in the fickle world of the capsuleer. PIE has had it's ups and it's downs, but has survived them all. |

I first heard of the Praetoria during my time in the Imperial Navy as a part of the efforts to expell Omir Sarikusa. I first fought along their members during the first invasion of the Bleak Lands by the Defiants. They first saved my live during the defense of a plex during the current faction warfare.
During all these years, pilots in the Navy often talked about pod pilots with disrespect: egotistic, self-centered idiots with the power to take down those weaker. Rich and yet unbound to any loyalty or duty. Without respect, looking for fights only for the pleasure of them, without any considerations for the lives lost. But, even when the arguments were most heated against capsuleers, someone's mention of the Praetoria was enough to bring silence to the table, for it has earned the trust and respect of the Imperial Navy as few corporations among pod pilots ever have.
No that I'm in the pod, it's a honor to serve in the halls so many great men use daily to secure the Empire. To another ten years! Amarr Victor! Sepherim Catillah Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris Liuteneant Ex-Imperial Navy Imperator Commander |

Your lack of manners is only outweighted by your lack of knowledge, captain Cetes. Taking the example of last month from the killboard, you can easily see we count with 262 kills and onlu 85 ships losts. And that is not counting the plexes secured and taken, the fact that we fight in an outnumbered war, and other elements. So, as much as many of you like to say we don't know how to fight, or don't undock, facts prove you consistently wrong.
