I would love to get a devblog from Art in conjunction with the Odyssey release, with a big table of the status of V3 progress on everything!

So, as the model is on SiSi now, I've got to ask: Has anybody spotted any differences between the Apoc and Paladin models yet? I haven't, but it's entirely possible it's so subtle I didn't notice while I was busy ogling its rack. Of weapon hardpoints. |

I thought they were developing a "unique" model for the Paladin (not based on the Apoc) and eventually the other marauders for future release sometime after Odyssey. If that is indeed the case I am not sure how much time they would put into the current model. |

If you had read my post carefully, you would have been able to infer the fact I had a thorough look at both the Apoc and Paladin on SiSi, noticing their models had been replaced with new ones.
I also mentioned I had yet to find any physical difference between them and was asking if anyone had noticed anything of the sort.
It is of course entirely possible they added a stock Apoc model in Paladin colors as a placeholder, though I have a bit of trouble believing that, especially as there was an unfinished Vargur model on the test server once. |

Is anything like that going to happen to the Golem? As far as I'm aware, the Golem has not had any changes happen to it's model like the Kronos and Vargur have.
Speaking of remodelling things, are there future plans at all for redoing the Frigates and cruisers in general? Not that the general shapes are bad (except maybe for the Imicus, blackbird definitely) but the models are starting to look a little old, especially compared to the newer ones that've come out in the last year or so. |

You really should read previous posts by CCP BunnyVirus and CCP Phor, here and on Reddit, they already answered on this many times. Short answer is "yes, they know about ship X, they will remodel all the things, SOONGäó"

Ah, I was just wondering, why the Paladin had Sarum textures and not Carthum ones.
but all in all, congratulations to this fine new model!

Looks a little plumper and a lot slicker. Unsure how I feel about making all the amarr ships plump like that, starting with the Purifier and then the Corax. I much preferred the design aesthetic that went into the Maller reboot. Bulbous is the Gallente thing, Amarr looks better when its a little more pointed. |

The Corax is an Amarr ship?!?!
I personally LOVE the new Apoc, I was on SISI last night, fitted one out and took it for a spin, and then looked up the price of BPOs...lol... def need to put on of thes together for missions...
Nice to know the Paladin is a "place holder" but even if it was not, it would be nice looking as it, wll with the correct colors on it... but hey Sarum works... not complaining... we need a Sarum Faction Apoc... really... can haz pls? Look at all the Macks in local...impressive...very impressive...I see you have fashioned a new exhumer...much like you father's...your skills as a miner are now complete...indeed you are powerful as CCP Devs have foreseen. |

The new Paladin is actually red, a welcome change from FPS brown. Will this colour be applied to the rest of the Carthum ships, too? |

Yes, Paladin should have Carthum logo, it's the same bug we saw when they released V3 for amarr ships a year ago. All Carthum ships had Sarum logos until they were changed by Carthum logos later.

Having got on the test server this morning I was immensely impressed at the new apoc design, simply seeing pictures of it doesnt do proper justice to the beauty of this model. I have only one gripe, which may well be rectified before its final iteration, and that is as follows.
The material shader for the hull, specifically the unarmoured, darker sections (this becomes especially noticable on the navy issue apoc, in areas such as caldari space) have somewhat of a more 'gloss' coat to them, which sadly detracts from the otherwise awesome nature and scale of this ship; it makes it look a bit too toy-like. Other amarr ships, such as the Maller, Oracle, Dragoon etc, have more matte material properties for these sections, they are a lot less shiny and the ship looks miles better for it.
Hopefully my fears are for nought and this will be sorted before Odyssey goes live, I merely wanted to note the issue and let the Devs know just how awesome this model is! Great work guys! |

Relic (makers of Home World) trademarked that back in the late 90s ;)

CCP, please seed those on the test server so I can look at the pure sex of a model used on a ship that will likely never again be attainable on live servers. |
