unable to log in .. "the socket was closed" shows after selecting ur character ... coudnt log in since yesterday after dt so abt 12 hours now... any one knw how to solve this problem? or is there any solution? |

moving router really fixed that? i m connected through cable.. does it really matter moving router for me...

using hotspot shield service which is 3 days triel.. that gives me acccess to eve.. how ever this makes everything super slow.. u cant use anything.. sometimes things get hang in ur pc... not recommended..

FIX the DAMN server I had to do this for a while (and there is a free version you can use, by the way), but be warned: I was unable to join corps because of it. They see you using a VPN, they assume you are a spy.

Thank you for contacting customer support. We apologize for the late reply and appreciate your patience.
The socket error is the result of the TCP protocol closing the connection as it deems the connection unreliable. This usually is the result of the protocol having to resend the same packet several times in a row without success and unfortunately can happen very quickly for a variety of reasons, reaching from interference on a wireless network or a squeezed network cable to a router experiencing issues of some sort outside of the jurisdiction of ours or your ISP's circle of influence.
Any issues within our own hardware that could cause this would be caught quickly by our monitoring and affect any player whose connection goes over that part of our networking hardware at the time and thus affect a large player base at the same time. If everything on your ISP's end is fine as well, then I fear the root cause for those issues lies on other hops along the route. If you have access to a VPN service that allows you to connect via other servers in the world, it can help checking whether or not those connection losses still appear when going through this different route.
Other than that, there is unfortunately nothing else we can effectively offer as support in this regard. If speaking with your ISP or using a VPN resolves the issue, we can forward this to our Billing department for reimbursement of any time you were unable to use due to this issue.

Well if you have a cable box/router set up like me, just unplug the ethernet cable from your router and plug it directly in the back of your cable box. hmm no i dont have that .. mine like phone line comes to router then ether line router to pc
any other solution i can try .. VPN still works but its laggy .. not recomment for pvp or heavy plex or WH ops |

Please help, I'm having EvE withdrawls....
man i have exectly the same problem .. i have to use VPN to get into eve.. which is super slow .. havnt seen CCP reply anything yet... sigh...

Please help, I'm having EvE withdrawls.... Well update time: I've multiple times throughout each day to connect. This evening I attempted to log in, same thing showing as above showing that everything should be working fine, except now it's gotten even worse. Now, I open the launcher and log in (says Tranquility server is online and doing well), the game client opens but I'm DC'ing before the character selection screen now VPN which is search and install ... very slow but will let u get in game HALP!!!!
