[1] B5 was really great, the dialog especially was the best I've seen in a sci-fi show. In a lot of shows the dialog seems to be limited to 'what I'm doing and why', but watching some of the later episodes of B5 you really see a difference in script quality between it and ST. But however good these series were, the new BSG blows them out of the water IMO. I love the Vipers and how they maneuver in space, first time I've seen a SF show with fighters that maneuver like real spaceships would instead of the old "I can only go forward" ships. I guess B5 did this to some extent with Starfury's but the Vipers are just so much cooler =D Even the tactics used make more sense, like Galactica laying down suppression fire while Vipers pick off any Cylons lucky enough to escape the red carpet of doom coming from Galactica. I wish it was January already =/ |
