Oh no, they are gonna have to use their on board scanners! Imagine that! That is gonna be so game breaking for the ice miners. *removed inappropriate signature* - CCP Eterne |

They cant even fit a damage control to avoid ganks. Miners are by far the least adaptable pilots in EVE and out of them ice miners are the most useless. |

some of us adapt... then die a lot ... then adapt some more, and die a lot in wholly different ships One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

They should replace the ice fields with comets. Ice miners would have to come into the system, use the on board scanner to find them, warp to them, match speed with the comet using "keep at range" then mine away.
Oh, by the way, the comets would be moving really fast, so ice mining would need some pretty fast ships or some sort of tractor beam anchor to grab on to the comet to match speed.
I can hear the screaming and taste the tears already... |

I feel high sec mining in Caldari space will remain a solo career merely because the resources in the belts aren't really valuable enough (even en-masse) to warrant ex ice botters to go after them. Also, the already established highsec mining corps would most likely frown on an influx of ore on the market, and chase away botting ships in "their" belts.
Besides, the belts in anything above 0.8 are gone immediately after the refill as it is. |

Next you will be saying there should be no normal belts, ice can form anywhere so why not in high sec, i agree maybe not in so many places but to get rid is also wrong |
