Now when can we expect this 'major' direction change and restructuring to show up on TQ. The list of stuff that needs fixing is MILES long. Could we please have a single thread updating us on your current focus instead of these long winded Dev Blogs?
INDUSTRY NEEDS SOME LOVE
It takes us 9 clicks to install 1 invention job - Do the math to fill your slots completely (same applied to all industry jobs tbh)
Mobile Assembly Arrays really need to be linked to the CHA (or central storage unit). Trying to reset these arrays for a new round of production takes a stupid amount of time and becomes somewhat tedious.
tl'dr - Industry needs some love |

Medium scale industry is a click-fest. It can't be so difficult to code it that when you highlight a range of blueprints that it manufactures them or invents them in the same way it does now for one. |

Even removing a few of those 'clicks' will go a long way.
The process of selecting a slot in a lab for example ... wasted time. Ive already selected the lab .. just ******* use it! It makes no difference what slot in the lab I use.
Another waste of time. Having to manually set range from station to solar system EVERY TIME. Save last used settings please! |

Wow, people complaining about clicks.
How about they remove everything and automate it so much, that you only have to do TWO clicks now for a job ?
HELL, IF IT IS TOO HARD FOR YOU, THEN GTFO !
It's your (ingame) job, dammit !
Now stop complaining and get back to work ! |

During Starbucks rapid expansion during the 90's there were years in which they lost millions of dollars and this resulted in the inevitable closing of many shops and legions of homeless, caffeine starved hipsters. This leads me to my next point... CCP's main goal is breaking in to the soft drink market with the Quafe brand, rivaling the likes of Pepsi or Coke |

Finally, someone who gets it ....
Yes, Industry may be most of our jobs, but that doesn't mean it should be so ******* long winded. It has got to be balanced. Afterall, CCP need to make it interesting enough for players to stay interested for extended periods of time. The current long winded method ..... not very interesting. Just ******* tedious and time consuming. |

If memory serves, this can be done in bulk?
Its mostly the installation of industry jobs that's a nightmare. 1 or 2 jobs is not a problem - I can cope. But when you have 3/4 industry alts spanning 40 research slots and 40 production slots ... it takes its tole. |

Oh my tears xD Umm, hate to say it but it wasn't a troll at all. I've suggested the idea to be able to install for example multiple manufacturing jobs in a single "click" (eg select 10 blueprints and install them all with the same 'values') to CCP for a while now, and CCP Soundwave actually said they are looking into introducing something like that.
So, I really am looking forward to the feature as it would make things easier and quicker

A feature like that would be insanely cool!
Some days I just don't set up my invention and industry jobs because I can't face all the clicking required to do so. |

the easy way out, just reformulate quafe, then when the new flavor bombs with fans, re-introduce original quafe as "Quafe Classic"
Profit ensues. |

i want to have my drone-farming automated!
To farm every drone horde you need: 1. Scan system for hordes 2. warp to place 3. target 4 bunkers 4. launch sentry drones 5. order drones to kill each bunker 6. get drones into drone bay when bunkers are destroyed 7. get alt with salvager to horde 7. lauch fighters 8. repeat until all BSs are destroyed: 8.1. target rogue drone BS 8.2. order fighters to kill targeted object 8.3. use alt to tractor and salvage wreck 9. get fighters back into bay 10. warp off
So many clicks to collect 30-40mils of easy ISKies!!! You industry guys don't see real click-fest! |

The best thing people can do is keep up the pressure because obviously it's starting to have some affect. You'd be hard pressed to find another community that would be able to "seriously" change things within it's own game. Some companies are just too big to fail and don't neccesarily need to bend and flex for its community support.
However I may feel about the recent happenings within CCP (Layoffs, moving bodies around) or whatever it may be. I cannot help but feel a bit of satisfaction. Not in the fact that those people are losing their jobs. That **** sucks no doubt about it.
HOWEVER CCP decided to play dirty ball to begin with. They broke promises, delayed development with overstretched funds, while continuely taking your money knowing damn well it wasn't being used in our / EVE onlines best interest. This is no ones fault but their own. So I offer no sympathy to CCP the company in the predicament they find themselves in. It's the own doing and we (the customers) should not be punished for it..
Strangely we still are being punished because now we lose people who may of had a genuine interest in keeping their players HAPPY, instead of just keeping their players PAYING...
That's where CCP went wrong, they lost sight on the actual player and only focused on our wallets. Why by the cow when you can get the milk for free?
I do hope the changes they have made are truely what is needed to refocus the ship that is EVE on it's right course. They don't need our sympathy and moarnings for lost employees. They need to do their ******* jobs just like the rest of the world that has some sort of responsibilty to the people. There's just no room for "pats on the back" right now.
TL;DR: They made their bed, now it's time to lay in it... |
