I'll be brief.
For the past few weeks, we have witnessed a number of important events; to bring up at least some of them, Gallente Federation revealing its hypocritical face in a political war of subterfuge against its own people, the mass shooting at a gathering, which, through death of Karin Midular indirectly brought to the Elder Fleet invasion of Gallente space and the escalation of tribal agressive and federal racist tensions.
All of these events ultimately show the simple truth; the notion, or rather delusion that democracy is a viable and working political system are nothing more but that; delusions. With the two 'bastions' of democracy in all known space being this corrupted, hypocritical and broken, I don't think there's much left for discussion.
But why am I bringing this up at a moment like this? Well, it's simple. There's another thing that happened, about 5 years ago.
On May 28th, 110 YC, People of Skarkon II tried to free themselves from the Republic, playing it by their rules. Via a referendum, 10 million people voted sedition from the Republic, and voted for being annexed by the Angel Cartel.
Quote:"The Cartel's got guards patrolling the streets," noted one resident, 23-year old Jakis Tarell, speaking of the armed soldiers the Angel Cartel landed on the planet as part of the takeover. "They're keeping the peace. And they're already offering people chances to work for them. I never thought I'd get off the planet. Maybe now I can."
A brand new era for Skarkon II, possibility for a bright future, growth, perspective... however, things didn't go according to plan. The voice of 10 million people. 10 living breathing people, voices of 'democracy' was simply brushed aside by Maleatu Shakor and his warmongering cronies in the Parliament. This precious democracy in the Republic hasn't died over the last couple weeks, or last couple of weeks; it has never actually existed at all.
But let's get to the point;
On Tuesday, May 28th 115YC, 5 years since the Skarkon II referendum, I call for those who have seen through the thin veil of lies, who want to live up to their potentials, who no longer want to be oppressed by the hypocritical laws, to join us in the orbit of Skarkon II, in the anniversary of Angel Cartel's annexation of the system; to show the people of Skarkon that there is still hope and that we are still here. That we were always here. We shall commemorate the death of Karin Midular, the death of democracy and a dawning of a new, bright age for people oppressed by the Minmatar Republic.
Cartel victor.

It has been five year since the people of Skarkon II choose to leave the ever weakening Republic. Five years in which transition should have taken place, but clearly the democratic process must have been deliberately hindered and delayed by government officials within the Republic top. How can that be? Is one person one vote not the heart of democracy? Do the leaders of the Republic even give a **** about their people and the so called rights of that people? Clearly they did not when the people of Skarkon II used their democratic right to vote!

The people of Skarkon turned to the Angel Cartel as a rejection of Midular's failed leadership and the crumbling of her government.
A situation promptly reversed by the return of the Elder's and the sweeping aside of the corruption eroding the heart of the government. The Elder's intervention and reuniting of the Tribes allowed for the Minmatar to start over in a way that had been unthinkable merely weeks before.
The Cartel fled Skarkon as the Elders descended - not upon Skarkon, but upon Domain - and abandoned their claim to the system without a shot being fired. Since then the matter of Skarkon's sovereignty has not been an issue. The people demasnded fresh leadership and they, along with all Minmatar, recieved their wish.
Sanmatar Shakor was elected unopposed as he was the only logical choice. The gathering of the Tribal Assembly is the long awaited milestone that marks the true beginning of a Minmatar system government that represents the needs of the Minmatar people. I believe that Skarkon shall be well served by it. http://uglebsjournal.wordpress.com/

Skies of Skarkon, May 28th 115 YC, Official report.
The Angel Cartel Bloc taskforce, composed of pilots of Coreli Corporation, Stillwater Corporation, Inelluctable and That Escalated Quickly has gathered today at the system of Skarkon, 5 years after the referendum vote. The assigned taskforce has put the system on space traffic lockdown, with a capsuleer fleet trying to breach the blockade and losing a Drake, Brutix and Thorax class in the process; they were warned.
In the meanwhile, the task force escorted a Badger Mark II class industrial ship to the orbit of Skarkon II, where I held a speech for the citizens of Skarkon II, transmitting it over a public frequency across the planet's surface. The transcript follows.
Leopold Caine wrote:People of Skarkon II.
It has been precisely five years since you made a wise and brave decision. A cry for help. A cry for liberty.
Five years ago, you voted to leave the crippled, dying, discredited Republic and join the Angel Cartel.
However, the fascist Shakorite regime in Pator and its sycophants decided to deny your choice, decided to give you five more years, decided that their territory was more important than your freedom.
5 more years of what? Of war with the Amarr Empire and Caldari State? Of an economy that didn't even start repairing itself? Of famine and poverty?
This is all the Republican regime stands for. Empty warmongering, playing on people's basic instincts of bloodlust to hide the fact that the Republic is dying.
You may have heard in the news that Maleatu Shakor's appetite is relentless and that he has started launching attacks against Gallente Federation space as well.
Where will your tribal pride and warrior spirit be when all of them finally come and knock at your door?
We come here again, bearing gifts, bringing aid, 5 years later to remind you. To offer our olive branch to you again, and offer you a chance to leave the sinking ship that is the Republic.
We leave the choice to you. Join us and live up to your full potential. Or stay and continue to suffer from the empty words, the broken promises, the endless failure that the Republic has given you so far.
We'll remain close. Watching and waiting. Just remember.
Angels are never far.
After the speech, the Angel Cartel Bloc task force escorted the Badger Mark II industrial above all 5 of the planet's orbital districts, where it dropped medical supplies, mostly antibiotics and frozen food to the planet's surface. IN total, 1000 m3 of frozen food and 400m3 of medical supplies were dropped over each district. The task force managed to keep the humanitarian vessel alive for all 5 supply drop runs, but the ship itself was blown up by the Republic Parliament forces a bit later, as it was running from a Hound class bomber tailing it.
While there was no presence of Republic Fleet that is 'hampering Angel Cartel space operation in Molden Heath' that we keep hearing about in empty Republican propaganda, we did run into a tribal sycophant trying to convince the people of Skarkon into standing against us; needless to say, it wasn't very effective. But, one does get points for trying.
The ball is in your court, people of Skarkon. People of the Republic. See for yourselves who is protecting you and offering you humanitarian help and who is using you as an asset in their politicizing back in the Parliament at Pator.
I'm sure you're wise enough to make the right choice. - Leopold Caine, Domination Malakim ___________________________ Angels are never far... Stillwater Corporation recruitment open. |

Thanks for the attempted history lesson Hulemand, but you might have known that I was operating in Skarkon when the Cartel first made their offer if you weren't trying to inflate your own ego out in Curse. I'm fully aware of the situation, which is why I feel justified to actually comment on it rather than pissing words and hoping some find their mark.
I don't fault what Stillwater are doing, it's admirable in it's own little way, but it's no way to facilitate a clean break. Caine at the helm dooms any sort of peaceful transfer of authority unless something nigh on miraculous has happened which has changed in way that he does things in the field over the past couple of years. The speech he gave on the local frequency today practically confirms that isn't the case. If only we had more people like Launette Vylier. |

Joshua Foiritain wrote:Calm down folks. Ms. Roseburn's personal issues with Mr. Caine are not something we as a corporation concern ourselves with and not agreeing with the motives of fellow loyalists certainly doesn't make you a traitor to the cause.
That might be true to some Mr. Foirtain tho i dubt the crew manning the two ships we lost on the way back in JPL-RA might say the same......if they was able to have their say on the matter, we who are imortal in a sense tend to forget they who crew our ships also share our goals and sacrefice their lives trying to reach it.
Questioning the motives kind of lowerd their ultimate sacrifice to aid the skarkon inhabitants and provoked me, how you deal with the matter is up to you as it shold be. |

Even if it was 'just one hauler', that would've been more than the Republic has done for Skarkon in the last 5 years.
It's simple really. We supplied Skarkon II with medical supplies and food. You can imagine all kind of conspiracy theories and secret agendas, but the fact is simple: We helped people of Skarkon II. The Republic hasn't. If you're going to sit in Pator with your thumb up your posterior and criticize other people's humanitarian efforts with failed attempts of smugness and cynicism, I believe that is telling more about yourself than ourselves.

I don't see how making your own personal profit on the back of the Intaki people is considered something that should be regarded as 'humanitarian'. Then again, you're Gallente, the Federation has had that outlook for quite some time now, prohibiting Intaki people to settle planets. Some freedom and democracy.
I'll just add that Stillwater Corporation has so far shipped 1 billion isk in supplies to Intaki V, the exact number to be confirmed by Salvation Syagrius as he's overseeing that relief effort, without making any kind of a statement about it or trying to score any kind of political points regarding it. No, no they are not.
Indeed, much like everyone else under the Angel's heel, they have a pair of options - join with and assist the angel cartel, or be enrolled in their 'work programs'.
And by work I do mean profiteering slavery, where what you can look forward to is endless work until you die or kill yourself, whatever is more likely to happen first. Alternatively, you join the angel's ranks and become a part of the problem, enacting among other things the enslavement of your own people.
The Ascendant Frontier was the best thing to happen to the people of Feythabolis for quite some time, and... well, they are not around anymore and a 3rd option beyond the two mentioned above no longer exist. I pity the ones who chose said option after ASCN collapsed. I can only imagine what happened to them when the cartel moved back in.
I do hope your party was an immense success and that the food and drink would satisfy, because it was generated by the profits stemming from the sweat of your countless slaves and the blood of your endless victims across the cluster. If the food was lacking and drink unsatisfying, it would have been a complete waste, and I can't bring myself to wish utter pointlessness onto people who only exist to keep the likes of you happy, fat and rich.

I've provided the recorded ship logs I have as a proof you asked for. If you're going to retort to any proof I provide as 'typed by hand', then we don't have much to discuss; in case you haven't noticed, the IGS is text format only. However, if that is not enough for you, we can always recreate it for you. I think that Megathron Navy Issue you keep around could use some undocking and an exercise trip down to Skarkon.
Quote:It still amuses me that you think the Angel Cartel is a humanitarian organisation, though.
Let's put facts on the spotlight and your random assumptions, empty accusations and frustrations aside.
Angel Cartel Bloc moved a Badger Mark II class transport, filled with medical supplies and food into the orbit of Skarkon II, followed by a defensive task force. Check. The transport, followed by the Angel task force warped to all 5 districts above Skarkon II, and launched a supply drop above each. Check. There was about 20 capsuleers in local at the moment, most of them part of the defense task force for the humanitarian run, who can confirm everything that happened there. Check.
I'd pretty much call supplying people with medical supplies and food a humanitarian effort. As for the global modus operandi organization as all, I'd like to remind you that the first entity providing relief efforts to the survivors of the Seylin incident was a joint Guardian Angel - Salvation Angel - Serpentis task force.
It's simple really. Angel Cartel doesn't need the fringe system as some kind of political points regarding Parliament and Senate elections. We are free from your bureaucracy and your synecure placed officials to actually care about people who live down here. Sure, msr. Soter mentioned the Feythabolis Empire and its fall. As I said before, people of Feythabolis are fully integrated into the Angel society these days. Isn't that the same Amarr Empire did with Khanid, Nikunni, Udorians, et cetera? Social assimilation is not a crime.
Yet we still have a disgruntled lone boy in the Federation who probably even can't find Skarkon on the map, insisting that none of that ever happened and that Angels are the 'bad guys'.

Sure haven't seen that one before.
Leopold Caine wrote:Angel Cartel Bloc Let's stop this right here.
You call yourselves the, ahem, "Angel Cartel Bloc," but were you actually performing this operation on the behalf of the Dominations? The Salvation Angels? Was this operation in any way either requested or mandated by someone within the generally-accepted command structure of the Angel Cartel?
Don't answer that, because I already know the answer.
So let's call this the "Stillwater Bloc" and move on.
Leopold Caine wrote:moved a Badger Mark II class transport, filled with medical supplies and food into the orbit of Skarkon II, followed by a defensive task force. Check. The transport, followed by the Angel Ah-ah-ah! Stillwater.
Leopold Caine wrote:task force warped to all 5 districts above Skarkon II, and launched a supply drop above each. Check. So what you're saying is that the people who were part of the Stillwater bloc - i.e. your own retinue - can back up the shaky claims you're making about humanitarian efforts.
Seems legit.
Leopold Caine wrote:I'd pretty much call supplying people with medical supplies and food a humanitarian effort. OK. Let us for one moment take the very shaky assertion that you actually delivered anything to the planet's surface as a given. For the purposes of this paragraph I will pretend to believe that. This operation was not ordered by the Angel Cartel's leadership, nor any capsuleer representative of same, and I know that to be a fact. So that's not a humanitarian effort by the Angel Cartel, that's a humanitarian effort by independent capsuleers claiming (and claiming is the operative word here) loyalty to the Angel Cartel. If you did actually deliver aid supplies to the planet's surface, fine, that's laudable, but it wasn't "a humanitarian effort by the Angel Cartel," it was "a humanitarian effort by the Stillwater Corporation and friends." The Angel Cartel had nothing to do with it. Yes, you could perhaps claim that because you profess loyalty to the Angel Cartel it proves that people in the Angel Cartel perform humanitarian operations, but you're doing it on your own dime and on your own time (and, might I add, for your own self-promotion).
The Angel Cartel is still a criminal organisation that practices murder, robbery, extortion and the trafficking of drugs and humans for the purpose of profit. I never doubted that there are a few good people among the rabble (among whom you should not, regardless of the veracity of your alleged humanitarian effort, count yourself), but they are not indicative of the general nature of the organisation and attempting to imply they are is laughable to a monumental degree. The Angel Cartel did not spend tens of billions helping a planet in a vain attempt to look like "the good guys" while the rest of their membership are off killing people and sellling drugs and slaves. That would be stupid, and very poor business practice - literally pissing money away. The only reason they invaded Skarkon was to recruit people and make the Republic look bad. Ask Kalela Ohturold yourself if you don't believe me.
This is all fairly meaningless hypothesis anyway because you most likely didn't deliver anything to the planet. Mane 614

You know, talking of the Sansha, as much as I hate the True Slave Foundation, I can (very slightly) understand their mistaken beliefs about what Sansha's Nation actually represents. Sansha's Nation is a very addictive cult of personality around a fiercely charismatic and dangerously intelligent psychopath who tells the outcasts of society that they're not hte problem, the problem is other people, humanity is wicked, free will is evil and all of it needs to be controlled. That's a really attractive and engaging concept for people who feel rejected or disenfranchised by their own societies.
You want a good example of this? Look at Solarienne.
It's a delusion, yes, but there's a lot of reasons I can see why people cling to that delusion. But the Angel Cartel? The Serpentis? They don't pretend to be good people when they're quite obviously not. Launette Vylier openly celebrated the deaths of thousands when she bombed a city in a fit of pique that they wouldn't comply with her demand to help them perform actions which she quite obviously knew were illegal in the jurisdiction she was attempting to perform them in. Kalela Ohturold subsequently made jokes about "snorting the ashes of Rilnais." They're not pretending that they're just normal folk, just trying to survive in a cruel universe. They're doing the jobs they've been assigned and stamping on anyone who gets in their way, consequences be damned.
Don't get me wrong, I don't have any respect or love for Vylier or Ohturold, but at least they don't pretend to be righteous. Mane 614

The Angel Cartel Bloc is the assembly of capsuleer corporations aligned, and loyal to the Angel Cartel, in contact with its representatives, upolding its beliefs, practices and modus operandi. Jumping to conclusions much, aren't we.
In any case, that's all you need to know, Federal. Or you can send another Brynn Jerdola over. That went well.

See, this is why it's hard to make a sensible conversation with zealots. You should send the Amarr a postcard, msr. Ixiris. M. Ixiris. If I suggested that you might, just might, struggle with subtext, would that be unbearably rude?
Let's assume that I have few illusions. That I like being an Angel. That I know exactly what the people I work for are.
Where then does that leave us?

Last I checked, the Theology Council would deem you as an amoral heretic as well, Msr. Ixiris.
You are entitled to your own opinion of our faction. Don't broadcast it like it's some kind of an universal, general statement however.

No worries, Ms. Adrelana. We had enough firepower to lock the system down for some time; in that sense your letter of support is much more appreciated. I don't hold it against you that you had some obligations on the side to take care of.

Definitely the best ship you can get out of 600 thousand units of Tritanium, even if you don't.

Actually, the term "heretic" is reserved for members of the faith who still believe but deviate significantly and controvertially from orthodoxy. The phrase they used in their last communique to me was "contemptible disbeliever."
I think they have a sliding scale.
Leopold Caine wrote:You are entitled to your own opinion of our faction. Don't broadcast it like it's some kind of an universal, general statement however. Well... I wouldn't, but it kind of is. Membership in the Angel Cartel is considered illegal by CONCORD, all four major empires, both of the Amarr Empire's satellite states and is at the very least unwelcome in the vast majority of non-capsuleer nullsec holdings. Even in the capsuleer nullsec holdings that don't explicitly outlaw the Cartel's presence, you have people shooting your ships by the thousands every single day. Pretty much everyone thinks you're one kind of scum or another - and even the actual representatives of the Serpentis and Cartel don't bother denying it, as I mentioned in that large section of my post that you conveniently edited out in your reply to make it look like you'd addressed every point I'd made when you hadn't.
Pretty much everyone does think the Cartel are amoral, up to and including the Cartel themselves - it's just that the Cartel just don't happen to care.
You want to see what an actual Angel Cartel loyalist looks like? Vincent Pryce. Man does what the Cartel needs doing and doesn't constantly try to justify his behaviour or assuage his guilt with crocodile tears and "humanitarian" "efforts." I'm not saying I respect it, I'm not saying I like it, but at least the man isn't delusional.

I love the part where CONCORD is so relevant one of the five major empires, right after one of it openly attacked it to be able to perform genocide. But, let's not derail the thread.
Quote:...you have people shooting your ships by the thousands every single day.
Also, let's not get into the part where Republic and Federation lose hundreds of ships daily to capsuleers living in Curse alone. Not to mention they lose even more to baseliner crews alone. Unless you think Tempests and Megathrons can somehow best Machariels and Vindicators. On angel native ground. That must've been a political decision anyway.
Quote:Pretty much everyone does think the Cartel are amoral.
You kind of missed my point. Angel Cartel has its own set of morals which we adhere to., a strict sense of loyalty and a set of values. I can tell you we are all quite well behaved and upstanding citizens. It's just a pity your viewpoint is different than ours.
But, so far, you're still considered an amoral heretic by the Theology Council.
So, welcome to the club.

Oh right, we spend all day twirling our moustaches. All couple billions of the citizens of the Angel Cartel. Just as much as Amarrians whip their slaves all day. It's good to see Gallente propaganda is at least slightly effective. Good thing it's aimed at the feebleminded.

Teevin and hustlin.
Ya bring one hauler in 5 years and make a big display of it.
If not for de "failing Republic" der be Imperial yokes round ya necks.
Sapienti sat.
How you know what de Republic has or has not done
I don't have to "imagine" an agenda, you want dem to be an Angel Cartel colony. So where's de imagining part?
