4 New bloodlines

Y'Berion	Posted - 2005.10.12 15:46:00 - [1] Got this from the in divelopment thingy. 4 New Bloodlines A new bloodline is being added to all races. The Amarr Khanid, the Minmatar Vherokior, the Gallente Jinmei and the Caldari Achura Well this just sucks. Add new bloodlines after you've made your char. I've wanted to be Khanid since I made my character and now it's might be possable in the future so I just have to make a new character???

Beign as the new shard is being created to fall in line with the laws that are being brought into to China, that will restict the amount of time a person is allowed to play MMORPGs.

Why would the Chinese govornment be monitoring us? Right now Chiense people use the internet. And Americans(etc) use the internet. But just because Chinese people are being monitored does not mean the rest of us are. The Chinese people could easily have a lightly different client than us that makes them log off (or whatever) after 3 hours of gamplay, while our client has no timer built in. You would not have to be onitored or be timed if you played EVE but lived outside of China. (Not saying I want the two servers to merge or anything, but I'm just saying that there CAN be two slightly diff clients styles both running on the same "shard" at the same time.) They are not exclusive to an Asian based server. To take advantage of the new bloodlines, it will be necessary to create a new character. Hilmar's statement in the interview mentions a possible option. Here is the quote, the italics are mine, <snip>"we would possibly merge the clusters and open up the possibility for massive fleet combat¦s and cross world trading. Again, these are some of our ideas now, who know¦s what the future will actually bring." Hilmar also stated in the E-ON interview that this was a "wild idea". Again, nothing concrete or definitive. Will it happen? Who knows, as there are a lot of issues that need to be addressed before a merge is given the go ahead, including server to server connection with minimal communication speed loss, system architecture, compatibility of the databases, scale of the economies, server population, etc., etc., etc. Let's wait and see what is going to happen before running around like Chicken Little yelling, "The sky is falling!"
