Which battlecruiser are most used in PvP, and why?
Mostly for gatecamps or empire wars.

Prophecy followed by the Ferox. Best BCs as far as I know.

Prophacy with 6x Heavy Pulse II and 5 Heatsink II is a overweight HAC. Takes hits better though.
Just as good is the Cyclone. With BC lvl 5 it tanks ok.
5x 425mm II
3x Med Nos II
1x 10mn AB II
1x Large Sheild Booster II
2x Sheild Hardners
3 - 4x PDU II
1x Gyro
It can f up battle ships and HACs, which is funny. 25% bonus to large sheild booster, and can run it sustained.

That's like fitting a Raven with all PDU II's in the low slot for PvP. You die...

PDU II = Tech 2 Power Diagnostic Unit
Cyclones are junk, sorry. The only people they're going to kill are idiots. Battlecruisers aren't a great class of ships anyway, they're like underpowered BSs, move sluggishly, don't have a great cap/grid/cpu for the size they're supposed to be. Prophecy and Ferox are just the best of a bad bunch. Cyclone is the worst....by many times over.

The brutix is far worse than the cyclone.
At least with the cyclone you could make a 720mm frig popper.

Never really seen a Brutix in action, and never really seen it discussed.
So, I guess you point is proven by the conspicuous absence there :P

A cyclone with 5x720ies and 3xheavy launchers puts out quite some damage, and it doesn't tank that bad. So, if you can get your cyclone in at optimal it's going to hurt. Problem is just to maintain that range, especially in solo PvP.
