I am a noob character though I have been plaiyng Eve a year or so. I was wondering if people think that it would be possible for me to do missions for Serpentis in Curse. I just want to do the little level 1s down there. Empire is so unbelievably booring.
Questions:
1) Who "claims" curse?
2) Is the alliance that "claims" curse reasonable? (Do they grant travel passes and so on at reasonable prices)?
3) Assuming I had instas and have flown in 0.0 a lot, is the area quet enough to live in without clone jumping 5 times a day?
4) Will doing missions for serpentis make me KOS in empire ?
5) If not Serpentis and curse, are there any other reccomendations of pirate implant giving factions I should consider?

You have been "playing a year or so" and yet you only have 100k Skillpoints?
Curse is the Home region of the five, as mentioned above if you are sighted you will be shot out of the sky, no questions asked.
Doing Serpentis missions will not make you KOS in empire, but i don't think it's empire you would have to worry about.

I was out of the game a while, came back and decided to start a new char the other day. Since you are a member of that alliance, is there any way I could get a pass to be down there?

You could ask them. I personally would be very impressed by your guts if you only have 100k sp and wants to go to 0.0 allready.
My tip is to go into the recruit section of this forum and make a post and tell them what you want. The worst they can do is to say "no" right?
Well that isnt the worst that they could say but they could say that. =)

Ahh well, 0.0 is not as scary as many people make it out to be. Just exciting. The only thing is you have to be on your toes, that is all.

However, Curse IS a warzone, theres far more factions then the five running about and theyve got a lot of sponsored corporations who might try and take some shots at you.
Anyhows, the above tactics work for any alliances space. The only thing you have to worry about it getting shot while undocking so dont stay docked for too long whenever youre talking to your agent.
As for other factions, Guristas have nice implants for Caldari pilots 
Actually im wondering why I came back to Eve to be honest. The alliances basically just ignore their official channels it seems and arent interested in lettign anyone in. It just seems like derisor is right. If you arent in one of them and arent willing to wait 6 months to actually play the game, just move on.
All [5] has done so far is to threaten and isnult and smacktalk me for requesting access and the other alliances I have contacted have merely ignored me. If you arent a carebear miner dude and you are a newbie, I guess there is nothing in this game for you.
Im probably going to not renew next month. Why bother. I dont want to skill up for 6 months just to get out of carebear land.

If this is so then the mechanics of the game need to change if CCP cares about keeping new customers. As for the rest of your post, you seem to act like the players in question killed your daughter in real life. This is a game. Its really very strange; almost like you see the game as a reality.
THe fact that its a game means that people want to have fun and to be honest i think Derisor is right in that it is too easy to "claim" space in the game.
As for alliances recruiting players, every alliance i have talked to has either ignored me or said that i needed like 5 mil SP (like 6 months in game) to even be considered. Why should I pay for a game 6 months before it starts entertaining me?

I have talked to 15 corps in 3 alliances.
Look, it just seems that Eve isnt the game for me I guess. No room for newer characters that dont want to be carebears. This isnt fun so hell with it. CCP loses another customer. I will simply not renew next month. Thank god I activated only for a month.
