By the way, I reconsidered. Not Rocket from Suckerpunch. This is all about fanservice, so I think I owe it to the community to have her dressed up in a schoolgirl uniform. Like Babydoll from SP, Saya from Blood-The Last Vampire (terrible movie by the way) or Gogo Yubari from Kill Bill.

Yay, that's going beyond PG-13. Still PG-17 but wouldn't count on CCP OK'ing it. Less butt crack (moar latex below the tail section) would make it OK'able, IMHO.

I'm not worried about endorsement on the calendar's behalf. these types of things have a way of circulating on their own

also, there is a huge disparity in quality between the official/professional art released by CCP, and images generated by players. this calendar is unusual for its quality (not to sound self-serving), so trying to stay vanilla like the rest of the images posted on the EVE facebook page (for example) is not the way to go, in my opinion.

I'm more than happy with this thread being merely permitted. I consider that enough support. I also think they know about this thread by now, and have seen the images, and have made the decision to stay hands-off. aside from the raciness, this is very original, player-generated content that has grown from the eve-o forums, and I think that's the only reason this would be condoned.

basically, I think we're alone on this one. personally, everyone enjoys a good photoshop, but officially (as volunteers and employees of CCP), all they can do to condone this is not lock the thread, so we have to keep this moving on our own.

if this got me a ban (temporary, hopefully!), that's exactly the type of thing people like to hear: "some players made a calendar and the pilot who drew it got banned... check it out"

not that I want to be disruptive, but getting in trouble is not -all- bad.

explicit, non-PEGI is not a direction I would like to go. I think a big part of this calendar's appeal is the new take on a bland character pose (everyone is used to seeing). it's what makes them fun to look at. something familiar and boring has been made cool

I think going X rated would only cheapen the calendar.

I wouldn't use an in-game mailing list to distribute non-PEGI images, either

1: I've spent time considering un-endorsed fanfic art, and

2: I get the impression you're ok with that, so maybe this is one step closer to the graphic novel being published. maybe over the summer.
