first off all: is it even possible to do it?

i did the first two levels a few times, cause it took quite long anyways but i farmed a few personal effects and keys and alloys...

so now today i entered the third level, no problem, as easy as the first, but no good drops. then i entered the 4th level, lots of drone-bss and stuff... i suppose i could pick them out group by group but how for heavens sake should i bring all the ammo i'd need (using autocannons on a tempest) i can't go back to a station to reload some, cause i'd need another key for lvl 3 right? it is even impossible to bring a buddy with a hauler along, cause the gates don't accept indys.

so main questions are: is it possible in some way to do it solo, and would it pay off (what are the droppings like in lvl 5 and since i've seen another gate there, in lvl 6, how many levels are there anyway)?

a buddy in a cruiser/battleship?
maybe an amarr one, that way he can carry your ammo and not need any himself

i solo up to the 4th lvl with my raven but i run out of ammo
ive been doing this for a week and thats how i've been doing it:
BS max speed is 130ms, u simply kill the rippers *VERY IMPORTANT! RIPPERS MUST DIE FIRST* and kill the demolishers then take everything out with ease from far out.

now you have to keep 70km range from the BS, 65KM is borderline, its sweet range is 60km, swarm worker's sweet range is 65km, thats when they start to shoot you. you just keep that range and bombard\snipe them. tier 1 BSes simply cant pack enough punch to break the commandeered\Worker\Defeder*6thlvl* tanks, they have 75% across the grid with 700dmg repper every 11 secs or something. but it is very soloable if you maintain your distance and snipe\bombard with an apoc\rave\megathron\tempest.

personally, i've managed to solo by keeping my distance and bombarding to the 6th lvl with a buddy hauling 600 torps for me cause i run out on the 4th lvl. but yes its easy.

gluck :)

ps. never forget the rippers.. they do 700ms and webefie\warpblock you. and never let anything get close to you. especialy annhialtors they do EM\THERM, and they're extremely painful. 1 ripper + annihs = toast BS

important Edit: my buddy was in a destroyer. had another one in a exeq and a thorax. any battlecruiser can go aswell.

simply lure the worker out, and just kill him.
snag the 12th tier, and repeat

I have run into similar problems myself with this complex. One thing I started doing was clearing out the first two levels, getting loot and overseers effects from them. I then leave and unload cargo and replinish ammo. When I return there is a smaller respawn which is easily taken out, and then I go into the 3rd level with my key. I also have acquired a few extra keys from when I didn't jump to the 3rd level so many times, so I often bring an extra key along in case I want to go again.

Once you start getting to the higher levels, don't waste your time with collecting the lesser compounds. Concentrate on the high quality ones that you get from the BSs and higher level drones. It will save you room on cargo.

One thing is that you may want to try to do this with a friend. I know you said you wanted to solo it, but the two of you could rack up a lot of stuff and your fire power would double, so you would be able to beat the tank of the BSs much faster and save lots of ammo.

no chance at all

doubt 2 would be able to either

just treat it as an 8/10 plex or something

I don't know about other tier 1 battleships, but an Armageddon can solo a 5/10 Outgrowth Rogue Drone Hive.

Highs: 7x Mega Modal Beams (Standard Crystals)
Mids: AB2, tracking2, CR2
Lows: 6x HS2, tracking2, named RCU

The key, as mentioned, is to keep out of engagement range of the big drones. 67+km works for me. Kill the small ones first. I start with the Demolishers, on levels that have them, since their missiles are the only thing that can hit at range. Bring some small drones of your own to handle anything that catches up to you -- which shouldn't be much.

Having a decent speed, hence the AB2, is helpful for keeping range and then getting back to the gate before anything respawns. Top speed for the big drones is around 130m/s.

The gates do accept Transport ships, if you want to bring a buddy to re-supply ammo and/or gather loot. He'll want to be fast enough to keep range too.

The complex I do is seven levels, and nets ~70 million ISK for the tiers (9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th, IIRC) and ~2 million ISK for bounties. It takes me a little over four hours, but the pros in Machariels (faction BS) say they can solo it in one hour.

The Lesser Hive Mother at the end is quite a treat. Has fierce shield boosting and an indecent amount of structure. But at least it's stationary and doesn't repair armor or structure. Be sure to keep at range.

As other people have said, it is soloable.. But very hard (i know a number of people that have done it). One point about the haulers, its only T1 haulers that cant enter. We take an Occator in with us to bring ammo / collect loot.

Its Actually quite Easy with the Proper Gunnery/missle skills

I Solo it all the time With my Machriel and i have my alt flying an Occator flying around while im killing picking up cans (i generally only pickup battleship and overseer cans)

i make about 165m isk in just over 2 hours depending on distractions and such (without the Occator i made about 94-97m for completing it (in my tempest)).

If you have any questions just eve-mail me we can talk.

I was wondering if a Raven would be able to solo this complex.....I have never been in the complex ( and want to scout it first if necessary). Do the drones resist Torpedoes well ( or cruises as a second option)? I also heard kinetic damage is quite good against drones in general

(Setup: 6 Sieges 1(varied ammo), XL CL5 Booster, ShieldAmp, 2 Hardners(?), Cap Recharger, Heavy Brief Cap Injector, 2 PDS 1's, 3 BCU 1's)

Thank you...

Domi tank + drones... owned this place.
Get a good tank(i use 2x t2 LAR + 4 hardeners).
AB2 and overdrive injector is always very usefull in complex.
BRING A SALVAGER!($$$ to be made of salving the bosses).

If something is hard, pick em out in smaler groups.

Last boss, don't aggro the mother tower until all else is cleared, her torps hits for 500 each + the guns... :(
