Greetings,
I was wondering who is controlling Tribute and Venal regions? I would like to do missions for Guristas until this character is old enough to join a 0.0 alliance. I am seeking a pass for mission running only. I do not intend to mine or do any ratting (not that I could with this character). I wont be putting anything on the market in the region and will be importing my own ammo, ships and so on.

from what I know Tribute doesn't have a npc station so I don't think there are any agents in tribute.

dude it would just be alot easier for you to join one of the corps already out there, you don;t have to be an old character.

Most of them wouldnt take a 200k SP char.

I think you'd be wrong about that.

Edited by: F''nog on 16/10/2005 03:30:25 I can say with 100% that if you stay in your noob corp, you'll never live to see a station there. NPC corp characters are assumed by everybody in 0.0 to be a spy and are KOS.
You'd have a better chance there if you joined one of their enemy's corps than you do in a noob one. In 0.0 NPC corp = everyone's enemy. At least if you're in a player corp someone might not shoot at you.

I would be delighted if I was wrong. Unfortunately my requests have gone un-noticed.

Wouldn't it be nice if EVE Map interface had a button that let you see this:

Then you wouldn't have to make forum posts to know such basic stuff

It would. Would be even nicer if some alliances took newer chars. I understand why they dont but it just seems a bit paranoid. Just dont give them any roles if you are worried about theft or something. I personally dont even like havign roles. Id prefer to simply be given things from corp via escrow.

You would be incorrect then. All of my inquiries have gone ignored except those to [5] alliance which have met with nothign but smacktalk. I tried to be diplomatic about but that is all they have to say.
If I have to hang out in empire for 3 to 6 months as derisor says just to get out into 0.0, I will simply leave the game again. This time for good, knowing that I cant possibly ever do anything out of empire unless i sit churning obnoxious empire missions for 6 months.

Public requests on the forum get you nowhere, it just shows you want to enter the alliance for your own gain.
Contact one of the smaller PA corporations and ask them about their recruitment, youll find that unlike what some people like you to believe a lot of corporations do take low SP characters. ------------------

Whats with you? Of course I want to enter for my own gain. I dont spend my relaxation time on Eve to be someone's waterboy. If I want to be a minion to some self important overlord, ill go to work and at least get paid for it. Anyone who says they are in it not for their own gain is flat out lieing. The question is, what do they have to loose and what do they have to gain by taking a pilot such as I? If I kill their enemy tacklers or tackle the enemy BSes, does it really matter that I spend the rest of my time trying to get a Halo implant?

Belief is irrelevant; it is simply a matter of observation of the last week or so. It has nothing to do with belief. This coke on my desk will still be a coke on my desk whether I believe it or not. My inquiries to the alliances will still go ignored whether I believe it or not.

Thats good for you, but while youre making money your alliance buddies will be fighting to defend their space. Does it really suprise you they might not be interested in accepting freeloaders? Of course if you where to participate in the defense of their space and spend the rest of your free time doing missions they might be more interested, your original post doesnt really portray the fact that youre willing to help
Oh and theres nothing 'with me', youre askin questions im giving answers, not my fault if you dont like the answers.

1. Plenty of alliances accept newbies. The "plenty" does not include [5].
2. If you're trying to go somewhere for your own gain, they're not going to let you. Alliances don't like being profited from, and they would much prefer if you join.
3. Asking on the forums is monumentally stupid and will not help your case. Contact a diplomat and discuss it with them. -- Proud member of the [23].

Rells, there are some corps that do accept new players, like NBSI Academy (but then you will have to PvP some).
You could also join an Empire corp for rookies like EVE University. That wont give you 0.0 access, but I think some alliances would be nicer to you and might give you a pass.
Going into 0.0 in a NPC corp WILL make you a target. Trust me, I have done it a few times. And while it can be fun to dodge alliance members or pirates for a while, they usually get you sooner or later (atleast thats what happened to me).

NBSI Academy is extremely good if you want to learn how to PvP. I have a friend who I got into EVE who is now in NBSI academy, and they do the same kind of PvP you'd see any major PvP alliance doing. Its quite cool.
I know for a fact there are corps in FIX and ASCN (the two alliances I've been in) that accept newer players. I would expect that PA and many others are the same way. There are often 20+ corps in an alliance, all with different policies--you cannot blanket them into one entity! -- Proud member of the [23].

As has been stated countless times in your two threads: CONTACT THEM DIRECTLY.
Go to the alliances' web pages and look up who their corps are, and who the contacts for those corps are. They generally have recruitment or diplomat contacts listed. Also, look in the recruitment forum and see who's actively recruiting. This will show contact info.
Just post: "Hey, I want to join an alliance" in the recruitment forum will get you nowhere, as they don't need to go looking for recruits when recruits are actively seeking them out.
Would you try to get a job by making an add in a newspaper saying "I want to work for somebody!"? No, you contact the companies you're interested in and apply directly to them.
And just because one corp in an alliance isn't recruiting, doesn't mean the whole alliance isn't. You have to shop around and find the one that's best for you.
