Just like to add, i was in aurohunen last nite and guess who is seen, yip proto in a new pirate corp, and can i say i dont like his new pirate mates, they are total prats, i bookmark the aurohunen/korama gate so i warp in some 50 k out, i was picking up some bp in my condor rigged for speed without weapons.
I warp in and his pirate friend was there, i turned on my ab and ran, she was in a battleship and done a little damage even at that distance, i warped to safety.
She was not happy that i had escaped and told me how much of a a coward i was for not coming back and fighting her, im in a kukin condor with no weapons, all a can say is m3g4 plz come back as u guys are at least nice to us and give us a laugh. (while destoying my ships).
Come back m3g4 alls forgiven:).
or u could always blow these guys up. thanks.
( he talked to us in local and denied he stole and he only took what was due to him)

In proto's defense, the other day I was doing some misisons and was traveling through the koroma system when I was met by 2 pirates. Proto and Enella.
I promptly warped away however i had to get to that system and didnt want to go another 17 jumps outa of my way to work around.
After explaining I was a noob (flying my new merlin and had no money left to arm it lol) and only had the delivery goods. they said I could leave freely. Of course I knew when i arrived they would blast me. However I decided to be trusting because that is my own nature.
Anyway So I arrive and of course I am taken down in about 5 seconds (maybe less) and instantly poded.
I was pretty mad, the podding wasnt nescassary but hey pirates need to have a big corpse collection right? Oh yah back to him being decent. About 2 minutes late I had recieved 2 donations for 150k each from each of the pirates saying thanks for trusting a pirate.
All in all I came out on top and have a great story to tell! Im sure I will lose more than 300k to pirates in the future but for the time Pirates have been a blessing =)

ha ha!! thats a nice story, yip trust me u dont ever trust pirates, i will never pay for a toll, cause i know these guys will just pod my ass anyways.
thats quite bad also that these ppl destroyed yor ship in a 0.8 sys. must have had time to warp out before the police arrived.

of course there is a difference between stealing, acquiring or whatever you wanna call it from other corps or corpmates, I mean if you are in a corp you HAVE to dedicate, yourself to it, otherwise you should be a freelancer, stealing lying or cheating from corpmates is just a shame and has nothing to do with being a pirate

at least proto seems to be a real pirate.
Not like your Tank CEO and Number One who happen to be running around 1.0 systems (hell.. everyone lets go and visit them in Amarr) killing bestowers and noobs.
I have to say
Mega is such a powerfull corp, and them hunting in 1.0 systems abusing bugs surely makes me look up to them

Hopefully something will be done to stop the killing in a 1.0 system, it shouldn't be announced, concord should just turn up with a dozen battleships and kill the people doing it... then they should actively hunt and kill them whenever they leave a space station in anything above a .4 system, they should also pod them every time.....

killing in 1.0 systems is just an exploit that they like to use while they can..i dont know if they will get banned for it but then again i dont care.But u have to understand..give m3g4 a break man..they cant really handle much else then noobs in 1.0 systems..lots of ibis to kill =)

Oh puh-leaze...... Nothing against M3g4, but they are babies in the pirate biz.
Reality check #1  More often than not, those that gain power from griefing nOObs are vapid, pimply runts who don't have any power in RL.
Reality check #2 Learn how to play the game and get some stones! Ain't nothing better'n griefing your enemies, especially if they are pirates, which all mine are.
I do like pirate corps tho, hell, they help make the game fun. Keep training the skills boys and I'll see you in space.

Earlier I saw a m3g4 guy tolling a gate driven out by a rag tag group of 5 ppl who just happened to be in the same system and got together to run him.
ppl will rally round, it just takes someone to initiate it.
Incidently, the m3g4 chap took it very well and congratulated them.

Man, this thread just reminds me why I hate dealing with 50% of EVE players. You all **** about m3g4 being theives and podding your butts, but you guys never do anything about it - you just sit and mine. Meanwhile, corps like mine actively put up fights but we LOVE corps like m3g4 - they're our challenge. We play to beat them. Join us as good guys and try to beat them too instead of complaining.
As for proto, sorry m3g4. I've had experience with players like him and I have to say, it really does hurt when someone you know violates your trust.

A rag tag group of ppl???.
Everyone is as cabable of driving a blockade off. 5 decent ships will give any pirate campers a hard time, if ppl had a bit more belief in themselves pirates would be getting a harder time than they are the now. lets be honest the majority of pirates cant hit ****.:).
We are going to look for pirate campers tonite, so i will prob die, but its all good fun:).

Stratton - Aye it was a fun time. Got 150k from bounties and a rat spawn dropped an alpha hull mod cargo expander in 20 minutes before ya routed me out. I didn't mind it I mean at least they did something instead of whining about it. We will meet again, and you'll still have that bookmark, sigh, Cro out!

Maybe 'rag tag' was the wrong phrase. I mearly meant that these chaps appeared to me to be individuals who rallied together spontaneously to fight a cause. (of course I may be wrong, but I don't think any of them where in the same corp at all)
ppl should do this more often. when your alone and come across a toll pirate such as Cro and thinking 'how can I get past him without paying, being on my lonesome an all', consider that the 5 other ppl in local are all probably thinking the same thing as you. As individuals, unless you have prepared for it, you probably don't have much chance. Band together and the odds can suddenly be in your favour.
I have nothing against the pirates at all whether they be lone individuals stealing from cans or big powerful pirate corps slaugtering for no reason. Even if you argue that these aren't pirates but murderers as they kill for no reason, so what, then they are a band of murderers slaugtering for no reason.
They add much needed spice to the game.
(I do think, however, that carrying out murderous activities in 1.0 sec systems is plain griefing and is not acceptable)

Oh please... I've lost a cruiser and a shuttle to pirates, both killers had highly positive security ratings. The one who did my Thorax acted positively insulted that I fired back too... The convo log would make interesting reading for a pyschiatrist. A thoroughly unsavoury personality.
