I can't get the overview window back to normal happened when i ganged up and had the overview and drone window taking up the whole of the right of the screen.
I know i can fix it by renaming/deleting the user.dat file for the account, but as i'm sure you're aware, I don't really want to do that for what i'll lose Can I fix it with some sort of external editor or have it sent off to a dev to be fixed?
Tried all sorts of other tricks, like tab, and trying to find a way to grab the split-bar, but no show

I have the exact same problem with my overview. If you have a solution yet please let me know. This is starting to become a pain.

Did you try resizing the overview width? Don't know if it'll help, but only thing I can think of.

Have you tried undocking in a ship without drones? Maybe that will do something for you.
Hope it helps,

Had the same problem a few weeks ago. Had to re-install EVE to fix it :-(

I have the same problem and the only work around I have come up with is to make a keyboard shortcut to open my drone bay. I then have it open while flying through space and can launch my drones from there.

Man what a stupid bug. Only way it seems to fix it is to delete/rename or move the user.dat file. The best way to find out what user.dat to delete is to move one to a folder and log in and repeat untill its fix. Settings are easy enough to reset and the file doesnt have anything to do with bookmarks. Also doin this speeded up my eve a fair amount.

I also had my overview vanish.
What worked was clearing the cache of everything in the sub folders as follows
Close the game and clear your cache.
Go to wherever you installed the game (IE: C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\cache) and delete everything in the cache folder except:
Pictures (folder) Settings (folder) prefs.ini
Then log back in and see if that helps.
If it still doesn't work, delete the prefs.ini and settings folder but back them up in case that doesn't work either.
I had to do the settings and prefs.ini as well but it worked.

Found an old user.dat file from my sisi install, everything is back to normal now
Moral of story: Make regular backups of your cache/settings folder!
