A quick update...
We now have just over half the number who attended last year (145), signed up to attend this year.. and we are still four months away!
Given that 80% sign up in the last month, this is shaping up to be one of the, (if not the) biggest EVE events outside of Iceland.
We continue to make plans... I took my trusty scout ship into the centre of Sydney today, and confirmed the suitability of a number of bars for internet spaceship dudes, including a couple with views over our world famous harbour !
Details of event specific venues (in addition to the Rydges of course) will be posted soon on www.evedownunder.com!
Thanks AUTZ community for your support, (and anyone else from around the world - lookin at you Chribba!), it is really appreciated.
It's going to be a LOT of fun.

Another quick update.
CCP have confirmed CCP Fozzie will be attending EVE Down Under 2013.
The momentum for the event continues to build, with ticket sales continuing to outstrip last year, and we are on track for the largest gathering of EVE AUTZ players ever.
Come join us in Sydney, AU for one hell of a party!

An Australian Matari will have consumed a lot more beer by lunchtime than average, so we should pre-organise defenses to preemptively strike and use the opportunity to preach the true faith. |

A quick update on the plans for EVE Down Under 2013.
We now have over 200 confirmed attendees! ... Thanks AUTZ community for your support... the weekend is shaping up to be HUGE.
For those who didn't see the recent Update (which you can read HERE), we are now offering the opportunity to advertise your corporation or alliance in the offical EVE Down Under 2013 Program.
The Program will be a 28-page A5 booklet that will include a bunch of useful stuff, including a map of the Pub Crawl being held Saturday night.
In other news, thanks to our friends at eve-bet we now have a Utu to give away as one of the MAJOR prizes of the event.
This ATX 8 Ship is currently valued at over 50 billion ISK!
All attendees of EVE Down Under 2013 will be eligible to win this ship, and it will be contracted to the winner (in Jita) during Prize Handout session at the end of the event. More details about this prize can be found HERE.
We are also giving away a Macbook Air, along with a bunch of other cool stuff, both in-game and out.
We are getting VERY excited about the event, I hope you can join us for a chance to meet all the "cool kids" from the AUTZ :)

For those who didn't see it elsewhere, we posted another Update on the www.evedownunder.com website HERE, including the news that a crew from ABC TV - Good Game will be attending as part of a feature they are putting together about EVE-Online.
If you plan to attend but have yet to purchase your ticket, please do so soon, as we are heading for a sell-out (confirmed attendees currently stand at 223).
Unfortunately, for various operational/logistical reasons, we recently had to lock in a hard upper limit of 250!!
Look forward to meeting you there.

Once again, absolutely stunning event, glad I made the trip again and finally back home in NZ. BIG thanks to RDNx, Bam Stroker, Dark Razer, Hamber Bogan (best bogan), Le'count Montecristo (and all the partners involved) for the organising behind the scenes - it obviously took a whole lot of work to make the event run so smoothly. Also huge thanks to CCP Fozzie, Chribba & all the other speakers for making it so awesome.
