what is going on with the launcher forced me to download a launcher for tq that looks like the sisi launcher and i cant log in then i get a corrupt eve pop up shortly after

Same here now it says it can't reach the content server and I can't login. I have my launcher set to only open for patching and close after launch, don't know if that has any effect on the issue or not. |

There is exe file with allow you to run eve and skip launcher part. Its located \CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile.exe
and yes my lauchner dont work too.. :) But this will make it work |

Same here, on Windows 7 64 bit. I tried clicking the 'restart launcher' a few times, eventually it threw an exception and a thing came up giving me the option of starting eve anyway, and I did that and was able to get in... |

Well, looking in the Launcher log file it all looks screwed and insane to me. No wonder it's broken.
Anyway, petition'd and trying the patch file... Screw the launcher, I never used it anyway |

Launcher busted (Win7 64), and when trying to launch from /bin EveExe file, the game continually tries to re-download and install evepremiumpatch538542. This seems to work, then spits me back out into the launcher, which fails to connect.
So if launcher issues cause us to be unable to get skills changed in time for the Odyssey skill reset, is that petitionable? |

I got in by running repair, then bypassing launcher via /EVE/bin/exefile.exe
Repair seems to patch the client, bypassing the launcher, so you can actually patch client without getting the buggy launcher path |

It looks like they're having some trouble with the content servers. Following the advice here:
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/EVE_Launcher_Issues_and_Workarounds#Download_stops_or_does_not_start
shows that I'm unable to connect to the content server URLs even via web browser. A packet trace shows that the SSL handshake completes (so data is getting to the servers and back), but the embedded HTTP requests get no response. This is a server-side problem.
Hopefully they'll fix it soon. In the meantime, the workaround of starting "ExeFile.exe" directly will bypass the problem. (If it doesn't you may have a different problem-- check the logs suggested in the above Wiki page.) |

Same problem here except in my case the game keeps trying to patch itself but seems not to succeed. Have not been able to play EVE since this latest patch. Very frustrating.
