Uh, I responded with my life and my Thorax. Are you sure you were there Kittycat (Dang, I'm sorry. I mean Panther.) You did tell Legionari that they couldn't accept us as members. And I was at a stand still. There was no attempt to scan me. Go play with your incense. We gallente prefer to purify ourselves with more pleasurable endeavors.
You claim that the Bestower was escorted out. Oh he was - many hours later. After, those in our group contacted your honorable STAIN members. I have presented the truth. You have not refuted my claims. The Hooded are Hoodlums then. But M0o and Sinister will not have you. You are not fit to wash my Tristan. So you can leave me now.

No we decieded since he asked nicly and submitted to a scan to let him go.
It wasnt because your "friends" contacted higher up friends.... classic example if your indy pilot had talked any smack or just ran for it nothing would of saved his life.
Point is he complied and lived not your "high level contacts"

Adrenalin,
Please read my first post. I therein state that we had never heard of STAIN Alliance. Whom were we to get permission from? Legionari approached us first then offered us the use of their space. Then, on this thread, "The Hooded..." tells me that Legionari cannot offer such a thing. Then the same "Hoods" tell me (me!) that I was putting words in their mouth. Ha!! Felipe would put many things into their mouths but it would not be words. NOT from Felipe.
Then they tell me I have no genitalia. Well, those who do not have cannot often recognize what they are missing. That is a mis-statment. I stood there, ineffectively fighting I admit it but I did not run and they didn't have to use their jammers. I do not run from those who showed their dishonorable side. What purpose would it serve? I did not run. If I waited for days, they would claim me coward, but when I die they claim me coward. Who understands these, "Hoods?"

I left the station and the only person there to scan me was Lord Morpheus. He entered the station. I jumped saw Wilber and the others and I stopped. I expected to be scanned. Are you saying that this is not true?

Sorry Felipe, I was answering before I read all the posts. My fault, I appologise. It has become a natural response in the last month to continually tell people to get permission befre entering. It was a canned reply.
What happened to you guys was quite unfortunate, and from reading what is above I think you were being taken advantage of. You should not have been allowed to stay in stain without the proper authorization, but what the monks did to you was unacceptable. They had no justification to do what they did.
Im sure people will be looking into this situation

Adrenalin,
I was not angry and I am not angry now. The only time that I was angry was at the end of my previous life. Where I said before I died, "You guys are nothing more than..." I realised that I was yelling in corp and switched to local to say at the very end, "****ing pirates!!"
I don't want apologies. The CEO in STAIN wasn't there. It wasn't CrimsonJade. In fact now I know that it wasn't STAIN at all. It was their towel-boys - the kids from the hood - acting in their behalf.
I came here to warn others who might have dealings with people who hide their faces. "Never trust a man with a mask!!" I always say. Hoods count too.

on a more serious note mOo VS STAIN on a note of ebil ness
mOo pod kills relentlessly and loves it! They say HAHAHA when you die... -5 points.
STAIN says "This is our space you get podded now!" +5 points.
mOo claim one system at a time. They kill everyone! -5 points... bad mOo.
STAIN claims hudnreds of systems at a time, they kill everyone that dont pay them. +50 points.
mOo -10 Stain +55 STAIN WINS! GO STAIN! THEIR NOT PIRATES! THEIR GOOD INNOCENT PEOPLE! no wait... they do everything mOo does 10x worse... how come it looks so much better in the point system tho? how... odd...
ok... so in this instance... the lower number is better... that means... mOo is at -10.0 Security... *doh their pirates*
and Stain is at +10.0 Their not pirates! Their honest buisness peoples! They just kill anyone that threatens their assets...
WILL SOMEONE SPLAT STAIN ON THE WALL? HECK SPLAT ALL THE ALLIANCES! GO mOo KILL THEM ALL!!!! -Rei _________________________ Trolling is bad. Please dont do it. -rei |

ALL big corps where small @ one time, those that are members of the stain alliance can pull thier wieght, until we smaller corps get some size and time in then we will remain "friends" of the stain alliance, or in your words "towel boys".
Legion Elite was not involved in this incident but i will stand behind any member of the alliance weather right or wrong that is what alliances DO! This is also is why we are trying to be a part of this alliance they work well together and they remember the small guys like we where a month or so ago.
Don't refer to anyone as a "towel boy" just because you are angry @ an after effect of someone doing the best to protect thier space. This is no different than a country protecting itself, call it piracy if you want to. It's a group of people protecting their "home".

I think its rather cool that a few corps have banded together to protect an area of space its keeps the aspect of role play in this ROLE PLAYING game.

Given your post it is the Monks you shoudl be apologizing to. If you really did read the posts here you would see that no Stain Corp gave them permission to be there and that the Monks checked with the Stain CEO's before taking action.
Perhaps you should check with your ceo before insulting your allies publicly.

Edited by: Felipe on 04/08/2003 06:24:10 Sorry Kitty,
You keep going on about permission. Poor cat. Tell us all, after you read my first post, where it is I left you behind? We did not know of the existence of STAIN. Sorry, I know that might make you angry and cause you to stomp in your Armageddon but it is true. See, the thing is, other groups did give us permission but you didn't like it. And Kitty, maybe he is upset that you are dragging STAIN's reputation thru the litter-box. So refrain - just stop.
BTW - I hope nobody takes this seriously at all. Yes, I was upset but I ate some Breyer's Ice cream and life is good. I am trying to respond it character - you all do know that right? Felipe is upset that people who claimed to be civilised should act anything different. It is who Felipe is. If he was a Pirate - he would be a proud pirate. He just doesn't understand the "Hood's" reticence to being called pirates when their actions already tell the story. Felipe also writes this to inform those who might otherwise believe that any corp., no matter how big or trustworthy the C.E.O. might be, can have bad apples.
Felipe - The Sonorous
p.s. Oh and Panther...Kitty really does become you soo much more than Panther. Just a suggestion.

Hehe,
Guru, honestly we never have. We heard of M0o,S in fact we were fleeing M0o space to allow them to clean up whomever they saw fit - just as long as it wasn't us. Kitty and other Towelled Avengers (Sorry Hooded Monks.) told us that we should have never arrived there in their space. Well, who knew???
If they are an alliance why are they afraid of a couple of thoraxes and a bestower? When Legionari contacted us and told us about STAIN space we replied graciously and told them that we were just exploring and that really we wanted to kill npcs. The monkeys came in and told the Legionari what for, and really had it out for us. I was told that my friends couldn't come and collect their stuff. I was told I had only a few minutes. I had three people telling me all something and it all didn't make much sense. I humbled myself and pleaded. There were 10 people in local against me and my mate. Who but an idiot would fight?
I told them that we would admit to scans. I stopped in front of their two armageddons. Me, with a single Thorax. Where instead of scanning me they pounded me. Sorry, I am repeating myself. Nevertheless, we never heard of STAIN, even less of the "Hoods."

Josh,
I've been playing for three weeks and you expect me to know all the political intrigues? Sorry, I have been honest in all my posts. Nobody has decried what I claim to be the facts. They were amazed we got there with nobody warning us. Well we made 57 jumps yesterday and nobody warned us. Did we kill anybody there? Did we mine? Did we even threaten a lowly frigate? No Josh, we didn't. To cast doubt upon somebody's argument just because they claim not to know STAIN is not as intelligent as you are. So please do not doubt mine.

Again we suggest that you check with your ceo and the other ceo's. They seemed to think that the action was justified. While we are new to Stain, we do know enough to follow the rules of engagement and we also know enough not to question the actions of our allies especially when those rules were followed.

Edited by: ariola on 04/08/2003 07:02:40 Well I dont know what the big deal is.
Its easy moving around in stain.. killing NPCs, mining, etc.
Just keep your eyes open and watch the map.
When warping, always know what's ahead of you. Warp to a nearby planet anduse your scanner to scan the area. If you don't know how to use the scanner then shame on you.
But really, no matter how large the task force out to kill you is, or how large the blockade, you can ALWAYS escape (barring some crash-to-desktop at the wrong time).
Eve, as it is, is tilted toward the fox, not the hounds.
When you warp to a gate that's camped by several battleships waiting to light you up, you have several seconds at your disposal in which to select another destination and warp out. As long as your ship is in the process of warping (even if it hasn't left the area yet), they can't touch you -- as long as you started the warp before they locked you.
And you can almost always MWD right past blockades. Just turn it on right before you fall out of warp and you'll enter the area going your max speed. You *do* have a MWD when scouting and/or mining in unfriendly areas, right? No? Shame on you again.
When mining, pick a fat, juicy roid in one of those uber belts that's 100km or whatever from the warp entry point. That way, if some Hooded Monk battleship task force appears to molest you good, you have plenty of time to leave.
Park your fat-tick bestower 250km off a moon near the mining location and then warp to the bestower to dump your ore. It will be next to impossible to find. Any task force out to get you will have to wait at stations or gates in hopes of you appearing.
Usually, they just get tired and leave. It's a game afterall, and people have other things to do, like sleep. :)
Yes, the Stain Alliance is a farce. Really, it's just an excuse for PvP -- ie, claim an area and expel/destroy anyone you don't like. If they give lip or fight back, kill them all and have fun doing it. It's all a part of the game and I for one love the Stain Alliance, even though I loathe them. Stain has riches that I often partake, and they can do nothing at all about it because I'm the fox, and the fox is smart. Ever seen a pack of hounds? Not too bright. I think that carries over to the Stain Alliance hounds. :)
The constant spectre of their eyes bearing down on me, and the fairly typical "warnings" about imminent destruction make the game that much more fun and that's why I stay.
So if you get jacked at some gate, or in a belt, or outside a station, its your own fault. Learn how the game works and adapt to it.

Let us all understand this then Kitty. Your rules of engagement are thus: Attack non-agressive, non-threatening, people who agree to leave only because you ask them too? See Kitty here is the problem. Your friends in your Alliance don't think that is right. You do see that don't you cat?
You belittle Legionari, in game because, according to you, they don't have the right to tell other people what to do - in space where they are playing. Then you "Hoods" crap on anybody who happens to believe in what really happened. You really are team players aren't you cat. Poor "hoods."

Felipe,
Have you contacted the CEO of the corps. involved?
Normally when Rules of Engagement are broken in Stain the corps. involved make compensation to those involved.
You should've been advised you would be escorted out of Stain - that's why, as a previous poster said, your Indy survived and your Thoraxes did not.
P.S: How come you have a Thorax in your 3rd week of playing the game? It disproves the theory that newcomers have it more difficult than the original subscribers

Edited by: Felipe on 04/08/2003 07:08:34 Sorry Josh,
I don't know who the CEO is. Evidently, some other of my mates might but I can't speak for them, only for those of us playing. I started off as gallente intaki reborn as a capt. I had gallente frigate 4 as soon as I entered. I bought an imicus for 50k and mined nonstop until I could buy a thorax for 4.5 mill from Gusy. We contracted with her and mined for her now for over two weeks, in which time I could buy a Thorax.
We got tired of mining and decided to explore this last Thursday. We saw the activity in Orvolle and FM- whatever M0o claims and we decided to go to the least populated spot on the map that had a station - 9o-zts. We left Saturday about 4 pm. my time because I went to go eat some KC style ribs at a great restaurant. I camped at 12pm pst.
I came on today and was reading up on skills that I might need and comparing plots on my map when I get a tell from Releb and associates from Legari, telling us we could hunt pirates but that was it. Mining was prohibited. And it starts from there. As to having it easier, sorry I don't know. I have fought and died. Ywev and others from M0o like shooting at my ships. I stopped at the gate today to be scanned not shot.

Felipe, You want the truth?.. the plain and simple truth? "I've never heard of Stain"(unlikely but irrelevant) I hate to be the bearer of bad news but ignorace of the law has never been an acceptable excuse, and the law in Stain is very simple. Get permission to be here or suffer the consequences. The Alliance claims a region of space as their own, as Blister said, its no different that a country protecting its borders and citizens. You did not have permission to be here from what I gather from the previous posts, and to your claims of being destroyed without cause, I have personaly encountered quite a few of their patrols ranging from the Monks right up to Mass's CEO. Never once threatened, never once fired at, perhaps ask to identify myself but nothing more. I find it very hard to believe that you were destroyed without provocation, the fact that your indi pilot survived suggests he had manners and a calm head on his shoulders and was treated accordingly. And to whomever it converns, Legionati and Legion Elite are seperate corps and not governed by the same people. SilverWidow Bu Loyal Approval - Director |

Silver,
Your case is not mine, okay? They were upset with us just because we were there. And we had no idea why. You yourself just stated that we had no right being there. We never fired at them, and we offered to leave peacefully, we never took any action that was threatening. You say that we should know and that ignorance is no excuse. You find it easy to hide behind altruisms that some cultures claim as being just.
Sadly, it is misplaced and most of the advanced cultures do not lay blame of death to those people who do not know the rules. They are warned. We were warned. We offered to leave and we were shot. But thanks Silver. You know, I actually have a deed that says all of the southern half of occupied space is mine. Honestly, I found it in a derelict frigate, but I don't go around blowing up ignorant people. M0o and the Sindicate and whoever wants to can battle for the rest.

He's just sore because he lost his ships.
You should always expect anyone you meet in stain to be dangerous, regardless of their security status.
Ok, if they're in a pod or shuttle, then fine.. you're probably safe.
Quit trying to call people on some moral issue. This game is all about killing each other, deceit, and anything else.
Assume that there are no rules of engagement and the Hooded Monk you meet in an Armageddon is some weekend warrior itching to kill some ships.
