Felipe, if you feel you were wronged and can't get over this instead of keeping on posting here ask who the lead man is in stain and send him an IN GAME mail.
talk with him about it, but it looks like as this thread goes on it gets turned more and more out of context, people mis reading or taking things the wrong way.
But what the hell do i know :) "The ONE has Arrived" CEO : Legion Elite |

Whew, I'm glad that is out. It wasn't about the ship because, I actually had the best insurance. Ariola, come on, you didn't read to whole post did you? Don't worry. Felipe is done. I have propounded and explained all that can be explained. Now it is just Felipe who enjoys the banter. Come on Ariola. Be honest. The Annihilation of Felipe's ship and Pod lasted only a few painful seconds. Then the pain ended and I was activated.
What I have done here is much more enjoyable. I have exposed the Hoods as pirates. I have tried to make them come out of the closet. (Hmmm towels, hoods, closets...I can't make a connection - dang!)STAIN can no longer say, when somebody approaches them about the Monks, that they never knew. And if the monks, never do this again, then I have done quite a bit no.
Anyhow, I must go to sleep. Judge for yourselves and your crew if Felipe has told the truth. You see many things out amongst the stars, and when you blast Felipe at least you know you've blasted a damned Gallente!!!
Moral of the story, never trust people who wear towels.

Nah, serisouly, you STAIN people. Get a life. Your not all high-and-mighty.

And as for "stopping at the gate", it kinda defeats the whole purpose of stopping you for a scan if your already in jump distance isnt it? For future reference I'd stay where I was and let them come to me. If whoever is out to gun you down, its gonna happen regardless of where you are, but at least you dont give a false impression of trying to get away , if in fact you are attempting to comply with them. just my 2 isk worth

Stain Alliance vs RUS was one of the biggest topics on the boards for a good 10 days.
Regardless of that, posts like these only go to show that entering Stain is dangerous.

Let me see if I have this straight.
You come from 57 jumps away to Stain not knowing it is an allience area. Fine, why should you.
You arrive in Stain and are told by a Corp about the rules in Stain, and are given permission to stay and hunt NPCs. These people did not have the aurthority to give permission - not your fault, though you now know there are rules and have already agreed to abide by them (to wrong people).
You are ask why you are there - rest of conversation is left out - but ends up with you being told to leave. You agree but don't.
You are told again to leave, you agree, but only when other members arrive, or come, or do something - I'm not sure about these other members and assume those talking with you probably weren't either.
You now say that you not only didn't leave, but spent the whole day there (in station).
At what point does someone assume that the other party is 'saying' they will leave - but in fact has no intention of.
I was not there - I have no idea what happened, but I can see why you were shot, and if you had every intention of leaving why you are upset.
If the roles had been revearsed, at what point would you have started shooting?

I would have to agree with rust here, felipe, you were told to leave by a member of the alliance and you spent the next day in a station.
There are a lot of alliances forming now and many of them will not give warnings like the stain alliance does.
We have the biggest fighting force in the universe and we populate the most lucritive region of space, we will protect it from uninvited guests and people wanting to make trouble. If it was a misunderstanding and you were found to be in the right, i am sure an apology will be made but after coming out of the biggest war, a lot of people might still be a little edgey.

or you could just mine in supposedly safe empire areas ie amarr or yulai or even luminaire and have the **** kicked out of you by -9.9 sec pirates.....lets face it life for a noob just isnt fun at all and it will only get worse as some as some of the bigger pirate corps now have carte blanche to roam wherever they like in space destroying with impunity.only a real eve fan will try and stick it out but i bet a fair few players who can only get a few hours a week in will move on to something else

Edited by: Saladin on 04/08/2003 11:18:05 After reading the first 2-3 pages I feel I need to make a point amidst all this argument and counter argument.
I can see why the Monks, trying to restrict mining activity, would want to scan the indy for bistot. Why is it then they wanted to scan the cruisers? Who the hell hauls bistot in a cruiser? how many units does a cruiser carry (assuming its not carrying anything else)? 16? 20? 25? A far cry from what you would need for a refine, and an amount that represents 5-7 minutes of mining (with one ship).
So this claim that the cruiser did not submit to a scan to make sure it didn't have any bistot is highly suspect. The practical limitations of the game does not make such a scan warranted -Edit- I agree with what Jim Raynor said at the beginning, these regional alliances are just pirates that block an entire region as opposed to a single gate or trade route. |

"The very fact none of these guys have heard of Stain Alliance throws their whole story into doubt, IMHO."
If one's fairly new to the game and/or doesn't read these boards (and face it, majority of the players don't) it's hardly any surprise they'd never hear of Stain or of any other player-claimed area for that matter.
There's no mention of these on the in-game news boards; nor there's a sign on the galaxy map, "'tis Stain Alliance, Beware All Ye Who Enter Here (more than the other 0.0 space)" or anything like that... :s

To me this sounds like the SA ought to pay up the ships or come out of the closet and openly admit that they are Pirates, Griefers, Liars and n00b killers, just as Da Skillz has claimed all along.

Rust,
I don't know where you left off reading the post but I did mention that the four of us had arrived Saturday. Two of my mates died and had their clones activated back at Lisbaetanne. They were coming back to get their items that they had left at the base. I explained this to them and they said that we would have to submit to an examination of our holds. We agreed. I have explained this before Rust. Somewhere you got lost. I stopped, that means I wasn't moving, before two armageddons and I was summarily podded. Rust, really. You leave Felipe wondering if you read what people have already asked.
Felipe has stated all that has transpired. I know longer shall respond. I did not hear of STAIN, and I knew not where to post this. If you carouse throughout these forums you will see that I posted three times the same thing. Obviously, I do not know my way around here. I do not lie. Lies are beneath Felipe. Monks podded somebody - me. I enjoyed expounding the farsical monks here in this forum than they probably enjoyed podding me in their few seconds of self-worship.
Some of my responses do not show up in this thread. But that is neither here, nor there. La'Rie, I send you a kiss, Archaian wine and the finest in Aurelian crystal flowers. Your microwaved cat was exquisite. Thank you.

Gentlemen, according to events that happened few days ago, and after i've read that the name of our Corp was mentioned several times i need to make a statement. Our Corp could not in any way give any kind of permit cause that is something only the Stain Alliance can do. One of our members,Releb, only introduced Felipe on Stains basic rules, like asking the permission to stay... He also stated to felipe that he would be safe in Stain but what happened after is not his responsability.
We also do not want to feel responsable for any of what happened; we are not members of Stain Alliance and therefore we cannot give or grant what is not in our authority.
We do not want to be pulled in affairs that we dont belong, and want to keep the name of our corp clean as are the ideas of our members. Have a pleasant day. ------------------------- NomadLord Co-Ceo Legionari

I here by appologise to skillz for stealing his closet and more so to heff for selling him the contents of said closet.

We the Stain Alliance have taken control over Stain a long time ago. All systems in Stain are 0.0 systems wich means no Empire fingers in there. If you fly to a 0.0 system it can cost you your ship at any time, because this is the home of pirates. We the Stain Alliance are not pirates and have claimed a pirate terratory for our selfs. That means less terratory for pirates because player pirates can not live peacefully in Empire space. This region being a 0.0 region means that we can do what we want in it... we have no laws to go after from the Empire. We have our own laws.
If members of our Alliance brake our laws they get punished by us, and most ppl that have been shot by an alliance member with out being authorized get their stuff back.

Edited by: Couch Monkey on 05/08/2003 18:12:19 Personally I applaud the work that SA has done. They were able to route a couple formidable pirate corps out of the region. My corp and I do not consider them to be pirates. They have a goal (the occupation of the Stain Region) and by ways of exacting that goal is to keep potential hazzards from arrizing. More specifically, keeping Player Pirates from entering the system and messing up their current operations. You may think that they prey on every weak person that strolls into their region. You would be wrong. I compare them to a dog protecting their property. If that dog needs to be released, then so be it.

Yall are kinda funny actually. My old corp used to hunt in the Stain Region all the time. We asked(and paid I believe) for permission to HUNT only out there. And we were doing fine till a younger member of our group picked up a couple cans he thought were just left and not going to be retrieved. Then we were ASKED to leave and were given enough time to clear out our stuff and warn our friends that were logged out. 24 hrs. I believe. So yes, the Stain Alliance does control the entire region, but if you learn to treat people with the proper respect and diginity you aren't gonna run into problems there. I hope to be able to hunt there again sometime as the Pirate loot was not bad. If you didn't know who Stain was, then it's your fault. There are lots of ways to find out about a region. Next time ask.
Stupid people deserve what they get.
