I would expect that a Passive Targeter would either be a passive module, or a non-targeted active module, like a sensor booster. What's the point of having it if you have to target someone before you can put it on them?

You're supposed to click the module and then click the person you want to passively lock. It only works for one target per module, which is the point.

it would kick bum if it kept the enemy from autotargeting you when you lock them with the passive targeter on...
would make the perfect ambush weapon...
all it works for now is scaning...

Did I miss something? I thought the passive targeter "did" stop them from autotargeting you back when you lock them.

Where's the problem? You use an offensive module, of course it's going to identify you to the target that you are activating modules on them. The way the work now still means you can fill your entire targetting amount passively, just takes a little longer (cycle time on targetter).

yep and if you find a way to not show up on their overview flashing red (ie...jump in on longrange and hope they have a lot of crud on their overview like roids :p) then you can easily fire some missles while they don't even know you're there.
Note : this only works on stupid ppl
