PvP is often a game of paper-rock-scissors. It all depends on what you're flying, what your opponent is flying, your character skills, your opponent's character skills, and both people's actual playing skills - and that's just for 1-v-1 -Wrayeth

do you mean pvp or care bear pvp because for real pvp there isnt one but for care bear pvp its clearly the sniper tempest for the simple fact that you can win by never losing

No real answer to that
If i had to give id say the geddon, cheap, bucketloads of damage, long-short range. Looks cool and puts a grin on your face whenever you light something up. Mostly harmless |

You cannot do much wrong with Amarr ships. They have decent cruisers and good balanced battleships.

Well, one way of answering this question might be in terms of what ships are the most popular for pvp eh?
So maybe:
Thorax Rifter Incursus Kestrel

i think you would get a better answer of which ships to avoid for pvp ---------------------------------------------
Signature filesize exceeded. Maximum sig size is 400*120 and 24000 bytes - Teblin - aww come on now :(

Impossible question to answer there.
Everyone has different favourites and different setups.
Depends on the pilot, the ship, the setup, the situation and the enemy.
if it was so easy to name a "perfect PVP ship" dont you think everyone would fly that ship and nothing else?
FYI, i prefer a Cerberus

Ishtar.
Hands down. Can take anything on from interceptors to battleships, can tank, can EW, can fit full damage, can everything. It's just a slightly better ship than the raven pre-Cold War.
Granted, tech II drones are still expensive and the ship is handicaped after loosing them. Still.... WHAT A BEAST

I would say ishtar, but vs something with a couple of Nos (pretty common these days), it will have serious trouble. -- jamesw Rubra Libertas Militia NEW: Bobbing for Xelas |

Its not one ship...its a group of ships used by one pilot
A Deimos to NPC in and rake in money An Iteron V for logistics A whole lotta rifters for a cheap and effective fighting A whole hanger load of specialised ships to contribute to your fleet
This loadout, one months worth of NPCing will last you a whole year of PvPing...being that your not a **** pilot

Pretty much.
For me, it's still the scorpion. Even after all this time, it's still my ship of choice.
A better question would be: What's *your* best PVP ship? ------------------------------------------- Sometimes, I wake up but keep on dreaming. |

The Vagabond with the right loadout can definately hang up there with most other ships in the game... if you can afford one, or don't mind a 100 day waiting list to get your hands on one at a fair price.

Edited by: Valtron on 25/10/2005 08:33:22 TO answer your question Seira Laene the Raven is the best pvp ship in the world of eve ! The rest of you peeps I don't now what you are doing ! IF you ever run into a experienced player in eve in a raven he can take on 7 of you in battleships and hand all of you your hats ! I seen it Done !!
Now the thing is Seira since they added alot more skill traing to the Missles it takes a good while to you get to that calibur of a exp. pvper in this ship !
P.s Also will need good EW skill m8 !
Thank you ,
Valtron

Edited by: Testy Mctest on 25/10/2005 08:41:24 That Raven was evidently fighting vs 7 absolute idiots, in badly setup ships, with no skillpoints.
Best 1v1 ship in the game? Probably the Dominix, specifically with a Nos setup. (Edit: Or a well played Scorpion)
Best all rounder ship, best in most situations, would probably be one of the Amarr BS's....nothing gives you good ability to beat rock, paper, AND scissors like a top quality tank.
And the best ship? THE PROBE, MINING MINERALS OFF YOUR HULL! MUAHAHAHA!
But really, the one with the best pilot. And skillpoints+ISK help :P
