The real question is which is best at taking on starbases, and the answer is: Neither Moros nor Revelation! gasp wheat barley kill anything? are you oats of your mind? hinta	Posted - 2005.10.25 17:53:00 - [6] I would have to say the Moros not cause its a outstanding looking ship, but the simple fact that you can control i think it was 35 or 45 drones with max skill? not sure how many but just being able to have that many drone whikle have your ion siege blaster going , it be over before you can presume, in my oppion. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Shadowsword	Posted - 2005.10.26 07:40:00 - [24] Well, back to the subject, Moros win, for 3 reasons: 1/The Ion siege has a better DoT 2/A lot more drones, dealing signifiant damage even on the dreadnought scale 3/Laser fire is very easy to tank when you're armor tanked, meaning that you can either tank it forever, or afford one or two damage mods.

I'd say that the Phoenix is best against Amarr POS hands down. Gallente and Caldari will hurt if a Naglfar warps in, but the Phoenix * will be pretty good here, too. Only tower the Phoenix is bad against is the Gallentean one. In either case, if you need to spend more than an hour at the POS you're going to have to device a plan to move in Strontium. The extra size of Citadel Torps * are weighed up by the fact that the Phoenix * and Naglfar have vastly superior cargoholds compared to the Revelation. However, the Phoenix might still need a torpedo refuel. Other than that, I think it's the Moros that's most lacking in cargo space because of the rather high rate of fire on Railguns and low amount of extra cargohold compared to the Revelation. If you recall the early rankings when dreads came out, flip those rankings up-side-down and you get what I think is the truth. Back then it was: Moros Revelation Naglfar Phoenix * People were just shell-shocked from the missile changes and everyone fixated with the 35 drones the Moros could carry - which are useless against POS! * Citadel Torps do rather low damage against POS unless you target paint the control tower, which you should do - it's worth the effort. For some reason the towers are extremely inexpensive (if you kill a large POS it won't be damage in the billions, merely a few hundred millions - 50 mill for a tower!? it's a lot of bang for the bucks), extremely tough, and extremely small (sig radius of a battleship) wheat barley kill anything? are you oats of your mind? True but as Ithildin pointed out you can paint it and do full damage. It's dumb i know and CCP should increase the sig radius of structures by a large amount (1k+). To have a strong armor tank against lasers you need 1x EM hardner and 2x Therm. To have a strong tank against hybrids you need 2x Kinetic and 2x Therm. The laser tank uses 1 slot less so you can even pop in a kinetic/explosive or hell, another EM to achieve near 90% EM resistance. ________________________________________________________
