Etc.
You get the idea.
I wish to be capable to declare war on those people who can't even spend two minutes to pick an original name.

I always remember the day I first visited the hippie commune... I mean the Wood Elf city of Everquest. Greater Faydark was it called? I forget...
Anyway, there were 7 or 8 variants of "Legolas" in town at the time I was visiting. Just made me want to scream.

I said a while back that half of EVE's character names are just mispellings of TV or movie (or even more common, anime) characters. Mispelled, because the real one was taken.
I cannot begin to express my hate at the profusion of "ayonami rei" and "rei ayanami" and "ayanamirei" and "ayonamirei" and "reiAYANAMI" and "IKARI SHINJI" and "Shinji Ikari" and "shinjiikari" and.... GAHHHHH

I agree - it often snaps me back to reality when I'm flying along to see "Miner5" or something flying an iteron nearby. Often there may even be a pair of them, "Miner4" etc. The only real solution to this would be a name generator that created unique names specific to your race and background. I'm not sure I'd like to go fully down this road...

Why? Is Cyranus so much better then Honor H. or O'Neil? If they want the name from theyre favorite S&F Series - why not - i dont care about that.

No, Cyranus is not any better than Honor Harrington or Jack O'Niel......atleast the first time they were used. but then you start running across JACKIEOONEIL and HONORHARRINGTON. My point is that people can't even take the little bit of time to think up a character name.
CCP could make a name list that was declarable based on past and present celebrities. Hell, I'll do it for them.

And what is wrong with using names like mine? Other members of my corp have names like LaFawnDuh (from the movie ND). Guess you better War Dec our corp...
But just so you know King Lamoni (a dev for the new ECM) is in our corp and will get peaved(edit: since the bad word filter didn't like p1$$ed) if you kill him... lol sorry King. Oh, and he's Mormon and his name came from the Mormon bible, so King Lamoni does deserve to be shot!
