After closing M-OEE8 by -V- and friends for a while, the Forsaken Empire and friends assembled a counter fleet in H-W.
A massive fleet battle in C2X-M5 was the result as both parties moved towards eachother. The -V- fleet then jumped into C2X system, while the F-E fleet was already prepared to defend that system.
It was a great battle, thx to F-E and friends for a good fight. Lot of lag but no smack, thats how we love it. :P
Good Fun to all involved!!
Btw...next time we should have a gentleman agreement before to not use drones. Lag was terrible at the beginning. Just a suggestion.

Great fight :) Lag was bad in the begining. I was auto warped off. Then snuck back in :) Allmost got pop before I could warp out after I was targeted.
Was good fun fighting with all the new V corps and allys (foe). Thx to BOS (5), who hung out with us for a while too.
Enemys stuck it out untill the very end!
No smack ftw!

Well, V and friends were last men standing.
Killboard shows same result, only problem, our killboard shows Force of Evil as hostile atm so the Fleet-Battle stats on our killboard are not accurate atm. We will sort that out.

Aye, same to you. The only thing in common our fleets have is that we all suffered and it takes the p**s because it was out of all of our control.
To all those that actually fought. Well done for the fight and the good humour afterwards. That is the only thing that keeps this game alive.

It ceased to receive data from EVE the moment we jumped in.
Judging by what I heard on TS, our fleet was the domination.
Judging by what I saw, I should set a long skill and play something else for a month or two.

This is why I like fleet battles in the South. I swear it seems like the lag is worse in the North. Sometimes it feels like fighting in Jita.
Ok well maybe not quite that bad. Nothings worse than Jita lag.

Good fight- shame I couldn't shoot anyone for the first three minutes due to no damn targets appearing on my overview as our FC was calling out the primaries
Had a nice 1v1 megathronage with ROOTSI Kunn at a different gate- think we both warped out to escape lag, and managed to bump into each other somewhere a bit more private
Gin is my co-pilot.

The lag was incredibly bad. I've had many fleet battles against -V- and [5] in the south with more pilots all with drones out and far smoother fights. In c2x, overviews were not loading and large number of pilots were dropped as the gate jumps were going off...
Anyone claiming "won" or "lost" is in poor taste or wasn't involved at all in the actual battle. The lag was a bit much to go there, and if you were there you know what I'm talking about...

Regardless of the lag, each side stayed and shot the hell out of a lot of targets. There were *not* a bunch of covert ops positioned to snipe and warp out. There were *no* cat and mouse games dragging on for hours. It was a straight up rolling of two gangs wanting straight up fights.
We had a good group of pilots on both sides who put up the best fight available. A lot of people got to blow stuff on both sides.
There seems to be very few alliances putting up nice slug fest's these days. Everyone involved should be glad they got in on one of the rare occassions of a good fight.
I'm glad that -V- and FOE were able to give <F-E> a good fight. Nice job too all those involve who had the balls to use their guns more than mouths.

OMG and the fun part was 1 h earlier i was talking to saturio from Quam and asked i need a OMGWTFHAXPLOIT raven ASAP can u help me, and as always quality Quam.
The battle itself was jumping loading loading primary primary .... but then by some odd force of evil IM LAG FREE and rejoyce over the slaughter.

Was great fun when the lag got in control.
Got warped away when we entered C2X, and then warped back to the 15W gate and was all alone and I thought wtf  but suddenly everything froze and 5 minl later I where in the middle of a bloddy huge battle.. great fun every one

This Battle was great. I thought we all chrash the Server (again  ) but then the fun goes on.
After a 3 minutes lag (for both sides heavy looses) the battle was "playable".
Thx to F-E and friends to stay there and thx to all they jumped into C2X.
Hopefully for the next round...

I heared it was a nice fight and it is always good to fight V,
They are probally one of the best allaince to fight against in a fleet.
Most of them keep it polite and know how to have fun,
I can only hope our guys do the same in battle.
for the battle, it wasn't as much fun as I hoped, since I got shot down without seeing any ships on my overview or on my screen for that matter.
I only saw my ship going in the structure after sitting on the gate for 5 minutes waiting for my overview to load :P.
But I think F-E and V will fight again pretty soon.

Having your war targets blink in overview is real nice in empire and small battles...
But real hard to see when you get called primary..DOH!
Either way, nice fight to all. From the F-E side we did take a good beating, but was still fun.
(Lag was kinda bad tho, CCP to please help)

I did not have that impression to be honest. While I didn't fraps it I did manage to make a screenshot of the battle just as it started and made a quick count. Here's the result:
C2X unedited C2X with count
Initial ships V vs FE
BS........... 15 vs 20
Cruiser.... 10 vs 12
Frig.......... 3 vs 15
As I was with the last wave of battleships jumping in everyone should have been in the system by the time we all decloaked simultaniously by means of regroup. The ships that you can see on the screenshot is all that jumped in minus those that had auto-warped off already because of the massive lag or which even disconnected. Some of those never made it back and I doubt those who did came back would be the decisive factor to turn the tide.
Oh and bear in mind that I can't count really

A good post Hast! It is expressing our understanding of working together, too.
The little competition which ally is more capable of causing damage to our joined enemy is also very constructive ... for our common goals. We stay relaxed and keep on doing our game as you do.
In regards of the fight: I was a little sad finding only cheap T1 stuff in the can's afterwards, but I'm sure this was only bad luck for me - an exception so to say. If it wasn't one could asume that the result was very clear before. I think I'll expand my business as a trader towards Lonetrek region - there may be a good business opportunity as there will be more good fights soon ...

Sorry, but what part of my previous post didn't you read? all?
The screenshot was made about 30 seconds after the last wave of battleships jumped in (no one came later) and 10 seconds after LD regrouped all ships (so no one cloaked here). It shows at least 50 hostiles and about 31 of our gang. There were more in the gang and that discrepancy can be explained by the fact that quite some ships auto-warped off even before the system had loaded, or simply crashed. Some never made it back and those who did came back minutes later, to the least.
Good fight indeed but don't say it wasn't a fair fight when you can't come up with facts.

No but given the information we have.. the numbers your corp-mate are putting up are a bit off. Without posting a link to places the mods dont want us to use i cant really give you more solid numbers.
However, the numbers your corp mate are putting up do seem to be off more than slightly. If he were to post up any proof or reason why his numbers are more acurate i would be more that willing to listen. But so far all i have is his word... and im sorry to say its not enough given the information we already have.

Famine, since you weren't there I'll give you a few details of the background of the c2x fleet battle. V had pre-planned their 60 pilot gang with FOE at the 0.0 entrance in m-o (a few hops from c2x). V had multiple haulers and small towers that they were deploying. FE responded with whomever happened to be in Tribute at the time and fought in c2x. We had other gangs active in empire who were busy with [5] and Stain Allaince.
We could have waited for our numbers to keep growing, but our gang in c2x did not mind fighting undergunned.

Well to be honest I think the overall numbers were very close appx 50 a side .... we (V and FOE) had 57 in gang but not all were present in C2X. -V- probably had the edge with regard BS's but not greatly perhaps 3-4 more. I understand that V represented appx 40 of the 50 ships present. To be honest, about half way through the fight I actually thought we were loosing as when zoomed out there appeared to be far more RED on the screen than PURPLE.
Bottom Line ... no one can prove numbers as no one trusts each others Killboards which is fair enough ..... you can only go by what you feel and remember of the engagement. It would be a real pity to see this thread get reduced to an arguement of actual numbers. I enjoyed it, I think most of FE, V and FOE enjoyed it, lets leave it at that. Regardless of who 'Won' the battle, does it really matter ... its who wins the WAR that matters.

FWIW, for what it's worth, I agree with LD; it was a good, fun battle, and I'm looking forward to being in more. -V- appears to now be a much stronger opponent now than they were back when Foundation was first fighting them in GW.

I couldn't agree more with LD who's our #1 opposition right now. Both alliances gain from these kinds of fights. We get what a lot of other alliances are missing -- straight up combat.
It all starts at the top. The fleet commanders on both sides on that particular day decided they wanted a fight and weren't concerned about losing ships.
The FE fleet had moved from h-w going down to meet V's fleet in m-o. And while we were moving, the V fleet moved up and we meet in the middle. It was clear both fleet wanted to engage, and we did so in c2x. Cans and corpses were everywhere.

However I believe that no one questioned the outcome of the battle here.. And for a thread in this place, that's probably not a common sight, so definitely big props to FE and friends there
What the fuzz here really was about, was just because of one statement made by someone who couldn't back it up in any form whatsoever. And that's just a pity because lose statements like those can so easily degrade threads which started with nothing but good intentions.
But then again, it's not an uncommon thing to happen here, unfortunately.
