may your next project.... well, take some time for yourself for a while. I'm all too aware of the "thanks for helping us get where we are today! you're fired" syndrome large corporations seem to suffer from. Oddly, upper management only ever gets raises.
Thanks for your contributions to EvE and the community, dunno if you'll ever read this, but to be 'let go' (what are you, a free bird? "we're letting you go! Fly free!") shortly after release for "cutbacks" when they should be ramping things UP is to be poorly used indeed.
May your next stop in your professional life be all you hope for.
-BH, who watched many long-suffering tech sales people get 'let go' from his current employer after they worked their tails off to help build our base up to where it is today.

Bleah...I just recently started communicating concerns with Campion on various issues. I found him to be an attentive, courteous and fair individual. If he disagreed with something I wrote, he said so and took the time to explain why he disagreed. He showed genuine concern in all issues whether or not he agreed with what I wrote. By doing so, it was easy to agree to disagree with him or to yield to his better logic.
I'm certain he'd be an asset to any company involved in MMOG's, though personally I'd prefer if he remained an asset with these companies (CCP and S&S). They can use more assets like him instead of letting them slip through their fingers.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and well wishes. I had a great time being part of the EVE dev team, as well as interacting with all of you. It was one of the most enjoyable projects to have produced and participated in.
Keep the faith -- I know the CCP crew will always try hard to make the right decisions for the game. Nobody is perfect and mistakes will undoubtedly be made, but the team has the vision and drive to make EVE one of the best mmog's around.
And yes, I am still playing EVE. Was nearly killed trying to run a m0o blockade the other day, but made it out with 9.2% structure left.

All I can say is thank you for your hard work to make EVE a great game, something that we enjoy playing.
