My name is DARK FLARE and I am the official URINE ALLIANCE POSTING PERSON. After a meeting with our leadership team I have been directed to make two public statements in regards to this. For reference, present at the leadership meeting were myself, my belly button, phantomite's phone, some people who aren't in Urine, our ccp dev spy, james blunt, steve austin, the head of autism awareness EU and a stray dog.

First Public Statement to CCP:

Dear CCP,

We would first like to thank you for this fun event and wonderful prize! While we are gratified to have won, we certainly understand the controversy in your decision. I am sure you had to take into account how much of a babby the entire alliance of PL is. Since the butthurt caused by removing them from the list of winners would have imploded the internet, we understand your decision to leave them there as a token gesture (whilst you still realise they got completely dunked). Once again, thank you!

Second Public Statement to PANDEMIC LEGION:

Dear PANDEMIC LEGION Alliance,

We won.

After hours of combat we managed to do three times the damage to all of low-sec as your alliance. We won, and those of you who aren't us lost. Big time.

For those of you keeping score, it's Pandemic Legion: 0, URINE Alliance: 1.

Over 50B of isk melted under the purifying lasers of Amantus's Amazing Fleet, so once again, in case you were wondering who won and who lost this year, we are the clear-cut victors. You are the losers. In fact, I would go so far to say that we absolutely f*cking wolloped you.

Now I'll admit, winning was very fun. It was fun for two reasons. 1) We got exactly what we wanted - every single little bit. And 2) winning means that we got to watch other people lose, people we admittedly have no respect for and really enjoy watching get upset.

To the victors go the spoils, I suppose.

Not only that, the process of winning was fun. It was also pretty easy. Surprisingly so! All we had to do was murder 50B of enemy ships over a nice firefight. Us owning has been working for years, so we did it again, and it paid off, and we won.

God, it feels good to win. It just feels really, really good.

Take a look at this face. This is the face of a winner. If that makes you angry, look in the mirror because that's the face of a loser. A huge, unequivocal loser.

I bet you're not ready to give up yet. I bet you think you can be King of Low-Sec next year. You can't. I'm actually really disappointed with CCP here, despite having nothing to do with either side.

One team actually used skill to kill a bunch of people and the other team just ran around chasing game devs all day.

I know which one of them actually deserves to win and it isn't the latter.

Either way though you guys had made a decision, all judge's decisions are final. If you had said PL had lost and Urine had won because they killed the devs who were worth more then I would have taken the attitude "Well that sucks for PL but dems the rules!".

When it was announced PL won because they actually entered into the spirit of the occasion and did what was intended, rather then just try and take advantage of the fact the devs were stupid enough to ram their lcones full of mega expensive implants, I felt that was the deserved outcome. Unlucky for these Urine guys or whoever they are as if they had known the devs didn't count maybe they would have done things different, but again dems the rules.


To make a decision and climb down in the face of the "losers" whether the losers had been PL OR Urine is pretty shoddy and really disappointing. What happened to conviction? You either believe in sticking by the literal rules as they were written or you believe in reward those who entered into the spirit of the thing.

While CCP has entered into a new era of listening to players which I completely agree with and support, listening to whining customers who didn't get things exactly their way so decided to have a tantrum does not benefit CCP or EVE in general in any way whatsoever.

So yeah, pretty disappointed in the events team here, not for a "wrong" decision, poor rules or anything else, just for getting bullied into some half baked "compromise" that shouldn't have happened.
