I started thinkong about it because i wanted to see more Sansha designs. We want more awsome looking spaceships right ? Those ships could have a specialization in the field that current T3 lack. For example Guristas one could be a proper railgun ship.(I never saw a rail Tengu) Sansha could have a torpedo bonus (i am still scared of those sansha torps in incursions) Not sure what other pirate would specialise in though .. any suggestions ?
And this ships probably should not have a logistics subsistem. You would be able to obtain blueprints only from pirate lp stores. That should encourage players to do pirate faction missions. And you would still need sleeper components to produce them. It could be a prety good isk sink.

Please let's just rebalance the existing T3s before we talk about something as godslaying as Pirate T3s.
Also, inb4 "Specialization is what T2 is for". Because it is. |

I agree that T3 need rebalance. But i realy want to see more spaceships as well) cant have enough of them. Specialisation is a wrong word... there are just some weapons sistems that are not used, like railguns. Thou that will probably get adressed when they ballance T3. But i still want to see Pirate T3 ... Such interesting designs... and so few of them in game. I know that it would take a HUGE amount of time to even design those ships. But that is a dream of mine.. |

I don't think linking the traits of pirate (most agile, highest damage output) and t3 (highest resistances, amongst the smallest sig) mix up that well coupled with the respective traits (90% webs for serpentis, 1 second aligntime on a gist-variation etc). Surely nice to fly, but a pita to fight. And you'd probably fight them exclusively once they are introduced. |

i like the idea for pirate T3 but indeed T3s need to be rebalanced before the pirate T3 will be introduced |

I would assume pirate faction T3 ships would be much simpler than most are making them out to be. Dread Guristas: Could use both Caldari and/or Gallente subsystems Sanshas: Could use Amarr and/or Caldari subsystems. Ect... Ideas for Drone Improvement-á |

Well the current subsystems have no Item model, and the ships design is changed by what subsystem is plugged in, so the pirate faction ones would be the same way, have a unique hull and each variation of the subsystems would yield a different model of the ship.
As far as skill point loss goes, it would have to check what subsystems you have installed and then chose based on that. Ex Gallente Offensive Gallente Propulsion Caldari Defensive Caldari Electronics Gallente Engineering
