I mean, has anyone noticed that there's no "C" in "Heavy Assault Ship", something similar happens with Assault Ships, they are Called "AF", however, Assault Ship would be clearly "AS"...
Apart from Caracol meaning snail in spanish I have found no other reason for caracals to be called caracols either...

Assault Frigate and Heavy Assault Cruisers have a better distinction between to two of the terms rather than Assault Ship and Heavy Assault Ships. Just glancing at the first pair of names, you know what ships they're based on, the second one is a little more vague.
AF and HAC are the terms I use, even though it's "incorrect".
As for "caracol" I'm guessing it's a spelling mistake...just "Megathorn", and "Scorpian". -------------------------------------------------------- Lance Corporal BSC Military

I think I did not make myself clear. I was saying that Heavy Assault Cruisers do NOT exist. There's no ship class called like that, there's no Assault Frigates either, unless you are refering to the assault T1 frigates on Tuxford's mk2 thread.

Heavy Assault = T2 class name.
So a heavy assault CRUISER-CLASS vessel would be a Heavy Assault Cruiser (HAC). - Proud member of the [23].

A Caracal is a type of wild cat. What, exactly, is the source of your confusion?

Edited by: Jim Raynor on 02/11/2005 17:25:41 Cannibal Ferox also known as Make them die slowly is Umberto Lenzi's 1981 variation on Ruggero Deodato's Cannibal Holocaust. The film is one of many to claim that it is the "most violent film ever made", is allegedly banned in thirty-one countries, although this is debatable; while the hype always speaks of 31 countries, it never seems to specify which 31 countries those actually are.
I see the inspiration there, it is a Caldari ship afterall. ------ If Captain James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock embracing one another, in a bath tube, nude, in space, is wrong, I don't want to be right. |

They are called PDUs because a long time ago their name in game was power diagnotics units, a while back ccp changed the name to system. Just like adding the space on heatsink.

All Caldari ships have to do with birds. They are either birds, or creatures that eat birds. Caracal is some kinda jumping cat if i remember right. Bantam is a chicken, which is funny.

HAC is prouncible, HAS is not. Assault frigate is a better descriptor for the class, especially when callin them out on voice chat.
Oh, and BB is the abbreviation for battleship, not BS.

They arnt called AF, but AS.
Assault Frigate doesnt exist Assault Cruiser doesnt exist
Its always been AS, and HAS, but its easier for players to call them AF and HAC so that there is no confusion.

It's easier to form plural forms with HAC and AF. Also they're easier to pronounce. Also, "Assfrig" sounds k-rad.

Yeah, a caracal is a long-legged, big-eared, tan, African wild cat. i am not sure if it is classified as a "big cat" but i think it actually is, even though it is kinda small compared to other "big cats." Well anyway i think it is famous for leaping like 6 feet out of the tall safari grass and catching birds out of mid-air. They look pretty cool, which is very unlike the caldari caracal. = P Don't ask how i know that maybe discovery channel...
Oh, and i don't think you'd find any manticores or cerberi in any science book. = P

As in: He has gone to the grocery store.
For pronounciation but when used in EVE Online:
The Eagle is a HAS which considered underpowered by some.
But HAC and A F do sound cooler.
