As the next several weeks progress you will find yourselves with less and less space and more and more of what you call ~~fun~~. With this you will have the urge to come to CAOD and post about how TEST is ~~all about da fun~~ and how losing all your **** is nbd.

I have created this thread for you (and the HUGE amount of tier 2 pubs you have managed to get together) to post about all the fun you're having.

I will also be posting a link to the TEST alliance page in DOTLAN every week so we can see the "fun slope" as TEST becomes stronger and stronger with each system they lose.

We been shooting PL and NC. all night

Unlike Test I don't need to hop on forums and scream how much fun I'm having or how much I enjoy my alliance.

The fights we've been getting have a lot of fun on the larger scale, we've killed two Fcon titans and a PL titan recently with dreads on a smaller scale it's been difficult to solo roam around the north without getting blobbed, but I think that problem is everywhere Elo's been inviting anyone to roam around Venal which has been a lot of fun for 10-30 man gangs, we've also been camping Goon Cyno Beacons which have cost them around 20-60bil in hauler/carrier losses.

If you measure success in sov holding then frankly you're an idiot, especially when NC. is taking yours for a giggle.

In fairness, that just means you're a psychopath with very little going on outside of this imaginary world known as EVE Online.

I think I summed it up in my original statement. While "elite" is the wrong term, I think a lot of people use it in place of "very good". The negative association comes from the vocal minority of players in those PvP corps that are smug, rude, trolling, or otherwise "mean" to those who aren't on their level.

Meh. Play eve however you want, but maybe us terrible players wouldn't be so loud in proclaiming how awesome we are if you "elite pvp'ers" weren't so loud in telling everyone how terrible we are.

TEST is a place to start for a lot of newbies who can't get accepted to any other corp due to low skillpoints/experience. And if the clueless newbie gets better and decides he hates TEST, he leaves, and joins PL or another corp with a more specialized role.

I'm with TEST because I can do pretty much whatever I want and if I decide that killboard stats and sov are more important then freedom in a sandbox game, I'll move on.

I think the critical piece of the puzzle you're missing is PL has historically always dictated who GÇ£won" in these famous events and, if IGÇÖm not mistaken, theyGÇÖre elitist, recruited all your "good" pilots, and theyGÇÖve been shooting you?GǪ.

I think the terminology isn't so much "elite" as "elitist". In my time at RvB I met some of the best subcap FCs and some of the best pilots I've ever encountered in the game. Yet anyone can join RvB and we've even had people who couldn't work a stargate. (One poor newbie asked in Local how to jump through and was told to line his ship up and pilot it through the hole in the middle - it took him half an hour of trying before someone took pity on him and explained you just right click the gate).

In TEST we have, we have had and we will always have an absolute flood of newbros. For some players newbros are really annoying. They jump through gates when you're wanting to keep your presence low profile, the flub tackles they should have been able to get, they all sit around doing nothing when they could be decloaking etc etc.

Some of us love newbros, finding their excitement and wonder keeps the game fresh. And it's very cool to see people progress.

There's also the metagame issue. If you have a high barrier to entry you can keep spies and awoxers out much better. A relatively open alliance like TEST will always have a vulnerability to this type of metagaming which puts us at a competitive disadvantage.

I am so excited about witnessing TEST alliance failcascade. They betrayed Montolio by not wanting to wage war on Goons and trusting PL. They got played so well and they will crumble very soon. Good work to the current leadership.

Me too! I miss the "blue donut" and having no reason to log in. It will be great to go back to those days of total inaction and nullsec ratting. Maybe I'll get to use my freighter to move ore and equipment back and forth. That will be a lot of fun!

No, tech was fixed. It was always poor design to have the bottleneck at a medium rarity moon goo. It looks like whoever at CCP designed Dominion simply didn't do the calculations that Akita T showed us in Market Discussion here. I doubt the designer even realised he was creating a tech bottleneck.

Jesus christ, get some perspective, people. In the Tribute war 10 days the CFC had taken eight (8) moons. That's it. Ten days into this war CFC has taken 20+ moons and 12 systems. And yes, 5 of those were given by MWM but the rest were taken the old fashioned way. I swear peace has turned the lot of you into high strung ninnies. (The directorate has been the worst about this.)

Test is over a month behind on their capital reimbursements. Not sure how far behind on their subcaps (though I believe it's less backlogged), but man they are not in a good place.
