Any low sec system is not a n00b zone. Its proximity to n00b systems changes nothing. When you go there, you see a warning. CONCORD can't protect you in low sec. So you must protect yourself, do it either by bringing enough ships, escaping or... staying in high sec if you can't stand being shot.

i could have sworn an alliance was a group of corporations coming together for a common goal. man was I way off.
i think pirates just get ****y at alliances and big corporations because they can't gank them with ease.. like the rogues of WoW..

Well in my experiance alliances can be just big groups of unorganised cannon fodder, and people who like to blob up for safety, that was what I was refering to. But interpret it how you want.

they are actually both... some are completely unorganized blobbing noobs, and some are groups of good corps trying to claim space. Depends on the alliance reallly. My Final Vid

i'd just like to point out we're not a protection force, we just blow up people we don't like
and as far as i'm concerned the blowing up of DruzidelCastro's Rax and Vecdran's Hawk was plenty for our little battle, and the reason you killed our Rax is because he threw some probes on it and jumped to your safe spot.

Why does it have to be a post complaining on a post complaining on a in game event everytime someone post's.
And before someone reply, why does it have to be a post complaining of someone complaining about a post that are complaining about someone complaining of a game event.
in fact i think 90% of all posts are about a complaint against a post and not a game event or feature. withoout you and now me, Maximyus. people would actually only have to read the posts that are adressing the real concern or problem.
In your eyes the OP might be a fool for posting what they do, but no more a fool than you are for posting about their post and opinion and not the topic discussed. and no more foll then me cause im trying to make a fool see why he is a fool. and furthermore take the topic away from the real problem. Especially since i know that my point fall on rock ground when trying to explain something as obvious as this to someone not able to read what the problem are about in the first place.
And yes, its a normal reaction to feel sad or sorrow when someone lose something, and telling them they are stupid or a fool for doing it, is as unessesary as your post about something you can not understand in the first place.

Hahaha thats not what you guys said when the miners got mad and killed off 2 cruisers and a Mega of you'r corp's i believe it was.
Sorry, confusing that with the dozens of battleships and cruisers we'ved destroyed versus the, what, two cruisers and handful of frigates we've lost?
That's how those guys are playing it now? They killed a dominix and a few cruisers? Man, don't know how a Thorax + Kestrel + Hawk vs. Geddon + Domi + 3 Rax's + 6-7 other cruisers and destroyers becomes that :/

nice try blowing things out of proportion, there were 8 of us, only 1 rax, which was fitted for probing.
and if you like saying that you were beaten because we outnumber you, maybe you should have more people when you see us around.

My overview at the time begged to differ. You telling me yakovman was fitted for probing? Yet he had full combat drone kit, webber, scrambler, frig guns, and armor plating? Please. I'm not THAT stupid.
Originally by: TheKoolEagle and if you like saying that you were beaten because we outnumber you, maybe you should have more people which was fitted for when you see us around.
Um. Thanks for pointing out the obvious? I have no problem with that incident, you guys brought superior force. If you're trying to troll a fight out of me by pointing out the obvious however, uh, try harder.

Sir, If Yakovman was not fitted for probing, I must ask how you propose we came upon your safe spot and, more imporantly, how Yakov was the first of our group there. Surely if we already had a bookmark, we would've sent in a better initial EW rig than a Thorax fitted with probes and a rather poor combat setup?
Sincerely, Ignasi

We weren't even at a flippin' safespot, we were at a planet. And there's no such thing as a "probe" setup for a Thorax. Or any ship.

Edited by: Drayco on 05/11/2005 13:05:56 You know what honestly gets me laughing. The fact that people get so bent out of shape when they find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. The "n00b" issue at hand is that someone got OMGWTFPWNED because he wasn't paying attention to local or his surroundings. Is it his right to play a bounty on heads? YES... Is it his right to complain? Sadly YES... Common sense though kicks in with me. I say Fade you got an issue with "n00b" pirates jumping on your back. Grow a pair and get'm. Nothing will bring back the loss of your ship, items and/or ore. Since your not a n00b yourself I'm pretty sure you can take them out. Till then keep your tiny 100k isk.

FADE.... -BABY- ....hmmm I didnt know you were so sore mate. I think I should explain something. The only people I kill, are non-locals. We here at [5k] actualy perform a just service.. we balance out the system of markets and prophit. Its just not right to let the locals lose their prophits because outsider try to take over their market. Locals keep us stocked.. they get to mine and rat (from time to time) and anything in range of me.. if im able.. and sometimes if im not able.. dies. Their mods get recycled.. and donated to the poor. Its commendable the efforts we put forth. We're a right nice charaty type. Btw.. as a force.. we are alot to take.. but we all know our roots, and try to solo everyone :) [5k] is a great allegience of veteran war pilots from all over the eve-verse.. we're semi-retired mate. Its the way of things, to keep alittle shine on the barrels. Spit in the mouth. Oil on the boots. Never know when the winds of war will wild again. Merry christmas. -XZER0-

MMMMMM. Roid campers? Style? Flags? I dont know how anyone could camp roids; that sounds boring.. to each their own. But hey, for 100k a pirate, oh yeah baby, let me fit my ibis for hunting.. I'll make sure i put lots of implants in too. Never can be too well prepared to earn a 100 grand. (hey what are bounties for anyway?) Why would anyone want to gank anyone... without ransome. Thanks for pointing that out. I think those pirate campers should have thought of that. Its good to know the chef still learns how to serve it up from the dish. Whats wrong with them anyway? They couldnt bring it fair and square.. damn pirates, i tell you -no honor these days. Oh wait, hold on, what is a pirate? Never heard of that. I think maybe its a bird. Did they at least offer you map or anything? Nothing to show you where "noob," area ends and "CONCORD cant help you if you are under attack." I swear, if those guys cant keep you from traveling to "dangerous" areas, then they should just quit while they are still "griefers." Say, is there any way you could tell me how to get a pirate to charge for killing. Why just the other night someone in low space says to me, "due.. come on... well?" (drones and guns a blazing)..oh wait mono a mono.. it was you :P Kill rights? Does that mean that the pirate that who killed your capsule, can be attacked by you anywhere anytime..? Wow.. so much to concider. A ceo, can declare war? A person who has lower than -1.0 can have a bounty added to them. Kill rights lets you go open season on pirates "with out style." My, not much you can do there Fade. The GM's really didnt leave you much room in the matter for revenge or compensation. Yeah. What he said! people should stop using valuable post time to post about post posted by someone in response to someone else's post, replying to another person's post.. which was the origional post posted to begin with (it unkany imature umaturness. I tell ya! Bunch of posters!!!!! ....oh oh.. I feel a post coming on -think I'll go post some more posts, while im flagged, instead of thinking of posting while flagged.. know what I love getting flagged just so I can think about what posts I should post about or respond to .. cause posting about posts posted, makes me want to post more.. or even post, in reply to a post that was posted about another post that was congered up in respose to another post posted.. Honour is an evolutionarily efficient model for behaviour in human socities, be they virtual or not. It might often be lucrative for an individual to act against it, but the society suffers as a whole and will place pressure on those who do.
If the society is lazy or lacks means of repercussion (as an artificial environment such as EVE it definitely does [see alts for an example]), being dishonorable becomes more rewarding for the individual.
As I see it, the intention of this thread was to provoke the community to put it's pressure against members (or a certain member) whose actions benefit themselves at others' expenses.
Naturally, people who have found disregarding this social model, or rule, for behaviour called 'honour' efficient in their playing object to any attempts at diminishing it's appeal.
One way is to try and make a distinction in the fundamental nature between games' and real life ethics like UltraDragon here tries. However, ethics is a facet of societies both normal and virtual alike, and while these two types differ greatly in other aspects, it would be naive to accept this comparison (perhaps carried over from another difference) without good, sound arguments. I challenge you to try.

Since the USER count grows until nearly 3 Years there shouldnt be a discussion about that.
This is a game. There is Sec Space for that where they cant get shot but in war. A frag is a frag. And I cant remember when I have been asked by newbie adventures if they might shoot a 30M Char.
A clone and the ship of a rookie is the cheapest ingame.
They learn their lessons when they get shot early instead of becoming pwnd on theyre first BS trippin.
So I will pay 100.001 for a frozens3xtoy of newbie.
b0oh, that was to much, eve never changes.
Podding Regards
