I'm more a Radio 4 man myself. Radio 4 was our [The British] single greatest cultural achievement of the 20th Century. Radio 1 is all about brainwashing me into listening to the RIAA playlist selections and given the recent deplorable antics of Sony not to mention the RIAA sueing children for sharing music, I'm high-minded to never buy another music CD ever again. Radio 1 is a Big Music Beeyetch and it's about time people started standing up to these Corporate monsters. I don't see why I should pay to keep music executives in Coke. btw: Chris Moyels is an Ego Maniac.

Don't konw about radio 4 I like Radio 5 myself but your rant is totally correct. Why should i listen to what radio 1 tell me is cool and ram it down my throat playing the same muisc 15 times a day for 3 months so fat coke snorting record bosses get rich.

I (only) listen to independant music, however, I do enjoy Chris Moyles's morning jokes, wakes me up when I listen to the Radio whilst having a shower.
The waking people up in the morning over the phone thing is well funny

Chris Moyles is not funny, never has been...
Tbh i try to avoid radio 1 like the plague, they play the same c*** over and over all day, changing the playlist every few weeks to follow with more of the same. The only thing ever good about radio 1 were mark and lard, they had there moments!
Radio, ill listen to centry at work, or if anyone knows it, local station called center fm.
Most of the day tbh though ill just play cd's at work.

When Scott Mills filled in for Chris Moyles a week or so ago, I loved it. Never have I driven to work in the morning and nearly had multiple accidents day after day through laughing so frickin hard.
Scott Mills is a comedy genius, Moyles can be funny but its pretty much the same old, hurl abuse at someone and make a joke of it.

lol on a completly unrelated radio subject. my local radio station DJ's do a your been dumped service.
you call em pay em ú5 and they will call you GF/BF on air and dump them for u.
