my .02 isk.
At first I thought it was no big deal, but when jumping more than a few systems, the warp effect become tedious and very distracting, especially when trying to get through low and null. An option to turn this off would be very welcome.
I cannot understand why all of these new camera spin, bob, and weave effects are necessary and makes me think they only came about because someone needed to show a manager that work was being done.

It would be helpful if we got feedback about what in particular during the jump sequence is causing the most difficulty
This animated .gif demonstrates the spinning camera view problem nicely.

Yes the jump tunnel is sub-par, so we are working on improving it.
The warp tunnel isn't causing the vertigo (it's dark and hardly noticed anyway). It's the camera panning of the gate jump at the beginning that is doing it, as it forces the camera angle to change in a sharp fast and very focused manner. It's the speed of the turning that's sickening.
Exactly.
As I posted before, the camera spinning before you go into the tunnel seems like this:

The CSM exists as a human meat shield between CCP and its playerbase. They can be both blamed when CCP farks-up or praised when their view and CCP's just happen to match. In the latter case this is promoted as the CSM "representing" the players. In the former case the CSM is put forward during times of player discontent (threadnaughts) to distract players from volatile or sensitive issues and to assist CCP in performing damage control.
Ultimately the CSM's job is to maintain the illusion that players have representation even though they have absolutely no power whatsoever to craft or change CCP policies. This is a far cry from the oversight role that was promised to players prior to the CSM's creation.
