My question is why did the Dread pilot leave it in space and
they were in a system where the only station was about to be captured via risk ie they dock it risk take station no more dread. and risk/five have some very good scan probe users
just one possibility there

This is nothing
There is a much better story about two disapearing haulers vanishing *poof* magic further down. In that you can also read that we got a Raven stolen which was like an amazing thing. Stay tuned for the movie about that
2 haulers and a raven vs's the thieving of a Dread...
Know which movie I want to see, Risk, pls say you frapsed it! ------------

Edited by: Rufus Roughneck on 04/11/2005 12:21:42 How is the bumping relevant or needed ?
Is it something I'm missing ? Cause if you are inside the bubble, what's stopping you from simply boarding the dread and leaving ?

their hanger they had there stops us from boarding it....or it was the refiting array one of the two

You can't board a ship inside of a POS unless you are a member of the corporation that owns it. -------------

not true...they have to have a corp hanger of a refitting array there to keep you from baording it. Though im not sure which one of the two it is

I see.
It's been a long time since I was involved with any POS's.
Thanks for the clarification. -------------

cause in my eyes it avoids game mechanics, where you have to kill POS to get the ships --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As ever, people have come up with a clever means of getting around the game mechanics (bumpage) and people think this is a good thing
I like to play the game as a RPG and play within the game as it is intended to be played. Others would rather use cheats and exploits. Each to their own I guess.

Fact is that P-A did exactly this to us before. The GM's have verified it's within game parameters and NOT forbidden.
Dont forget to set POS password.

Something I don't quite get...
How is bumping NOT part of the game mechanics? Surely if one ship hits another, one will bounce (or be bumped) away? No matter when or where it occurs.
Accusations of "cheating & exploits" are just plain pathetic.

And if the GMs verifie it, thats the end of it.
Question to RISK, When you first found out about the dread, what were your reactions on TS/gang chat?

You really think that it was intended that you should be able to bump ships out of a POS so as to be able to steal them?
If this were "RL" then you dont think crashing a battleship at speed into another ship would not just result in both of them being destroyed? I know this doesnt happen in combat and is required to make the game work - but just because you can do something doesnt mean that you should do something.
All I am saying is that I think that I personally don't like this style of play. That is my opinion and I am entitled to it.
If this were a Dread from your alliance or corp I hardly think you would be so quick to praise.

I am not saying it is forbidden, I just view this kind of tactic as being similar to corp thefts. They too are permissible but I dont like them and dont like that style of play.
You do, so good luck to you.

This is not RL, this is a game, and they are playing within the mechanics of it, IMO this goes under the whole WCS/ECM is lame type of thing, not lame, game mechanic.
but imagine if the game was the way you want it, everything crashing into everything BOOM! the amount of lag it would create, much easier to just let things bouce off.

Is this a topic for 'crime & punishment'? because it sounds like the kind of post a pirate would make. Bumping a ship from a pos earns you no respect from me, killing one as NBSI did earns respect. As for PA.
Bad form if you left a pos without a password. Bad form on losing BKG. Bad form on losing respect Looks like you guys have some work to do.
