Yes the game was annoying to start.
Yes the bugs in the tutorial dampered my view a little.
And yes, it'll be five hours until I can do some "proper" Mining (/me wants to be a Miner and precious little else :p).
But woo...I like what I've seen so far, can't wait to get really into it. Hehehe.

Yup, great game indeed. Have fun! You have a fair while 'till you get to the "what next?" stage and, who knows, there may be more to do by then so I wish you happy gaming

Not right now, wanna pick up a little bit of "solo" experience....that and my character isn't much of a team player. :p

Thanks for the kind words (Although I oO'ed at the second person), I've slipped into the fairly simple (If somewhat dull, admittedly) process of chugging back and forth on Courier missions and mining asteroids.
Once three more hours (O_O) have passed though, I'll be able to use the "Probe" ship that someone kindly donated to me...plus with the little extra cash I'm earning _now_, I can plonk a bigger cargo hold on as well as more lasers (Will still be repetitive...but profitable!).
That said...I almost wet myself after coming out of a jumpgate and nearly bumping into a Battleship. Meep!

Carefull now, this is a family forum. Glad to hear you liked the game. Ive been playing since beta 4 or so and I love it. I still find new stuff to learn nearly every day. Dont listen to forum trolls like Indesin. He just likes to start trouble and badmouth everyone that doesnt agree with him. Enjoy the world of EVE!
PS - If you change your mind about joining a corp, Mining Unlimited corp could always use another miner. We like the people that want to be a miner and nothing else.

Glad you are enjoying the game Janet - I remember the first time I saw a cruiser, I was totally awed :)
If you haven't done it yet, try this trick that someone taught to me when I first started: When warping to the station you drop ore off in from the belt you are mining, go 20km *past* the station and create a bookmark (click the 2nd icon down on the left, choose places tab, hit create bookmark button at bottom). Then, the next time you are back in your asteroid belt, right click on the created bookmark (shows up under the places tab) and choose "warp to". This will cause you to emerge from warp right on top of the station - saving lots of travel time and allowing you to mine a lot more efficiently.

Right, again thanks for all the kind words and what have you. ;)
Struck up quite a little "deal" thingy with one other player, I beavered away at Asteroids as his Drones did the same...he kept hauling stuff into containers until we had a _lot_ Scordite...
Needless to say, we earned over 300k each from that. :D
Well, anyway, now that I know what skills do, stats effect....etc, I'll be deleting my character and starting fresh tommorow (Same name though), so i can improve upon my "build" considerably.

A word of advice - get yourself the learning skills AFAP, the improve your training time considerably.
There are several threads in the skill forum about them if you want some more info.

if u plan on mining a lot i would suggest u take a peak here :
