I currently have Navigation lvl 4, Warpdrive lvl 3 and Science lvl 2.
Im just finishing up cruise missiles skill and then ill be able to start training up to use one tomorrow. I estimate 23 days till im eligable to use one.
The current skill requirements are:

well aparently i cant as there will be a second skill for co-ordinating the jump introduced sometime... strange, as they probably wont be in game for an incredible amount of thiem, yet the skill has always been there

tank, i have jumpdrive skill as well (and astrometrics, a jumpdrive boosting skill)
currently it is collecting dust in my hangar until i get word that jumpdrives will be on the market. no use training for something that wont be out for months. ;) "To be content,to be comfortable, is to be complacent. Yes Tank. I have been complaining for a week now since i fininshed training jumpdrive, that it is the only skill in the game that you can buy, train, and not use.
Paid 10 mill for the skill and the devs havent even put it in the game yet.
Really sux since I spent 3 weeks training for it to get a jump on everyone and they dont let you use one. I would finally like to get an answer from the devs on when they will finally be put into the game, unless of course, they find some way to nerf them like microwarpdrives ----------------------------------------------- "The Light shineth in the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not." |

galaga, i think they will be implemented along with the titans. Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long for the titans. Main Everlasting Vendetta Veteran Member of the Stain Alliance |

My point has always been they shouldn't be a Titan Only item. Just limit the range of the jumps according to ship size. Cruisers = Same Constellation, Bships = same region, Titan = Neighboring region.

Thanx Main, I realize they will eventually be imlemented. My gripe is why put the skill on the market if it is not something to be released soon? Why not put Titan and Jove frigate skills on the market if you are going to do that?
You plan your character for a certain roadmap according to the skills available, and when they wont put the items in the game it is so frustraiting to know you could be training other important and useful now skills instead. Yes I realize that I will be ready when the actual junp drive comes out, but I had planned from beta to get a "jump" on everyone by training it early.

Why dont you all just read the scientific articles in the world of eve about "Interstellar Travelling" chapter 4 - Space vessels get a boost û the first jump drives, and 5 - Faster-than-light travel û how?
its all there for those who search...
or for those who click here....

I hope they will be implemented soon... The article seems to say that they would be available for any ship that is "immensely big, tremendously expensive and outrageously inefficient"....
But that was 600 years ago for the Gallenteans first warp driving...
Hey guys, how about we just wait another 600 years, and then maybe we can jump drive in ships that are "immensely big, tremendously expensive and outrageously inefficient"....
Unless maybe technology has advanced so much that we can learn some faster...

I have to agree on that one... limiting it is dumb, why? it should be on the ship, cause like everything else in this game bigger means more most of the time so cruiser or BS should be able to use it... just not as effective of course as something bigger then both of them support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo

That article is strange, the "Jump Drives" they mention are included on every ship, basically the Warp Drive, really.
More advanced "new" (and we don't have them yet, but 600 years plus history? All completely logical in CCP land ) Jump Drives are a waaaaay more powerful version of them though, able to go between solar systems, not just planets (also from same article).
I'm waiting for them. (and if the old topic is a valdi one, I see no problem in bringing it back )

Now this is how your bring back an old thread, add some perspective. Much better than a disposable alt making single character posts for the sole purpose of annoying people and keeping Polaris up into the wee hours.
Back on topic... Jash might have been correct. Since Castor brought about ship-class specific AB/MWB, it's not too far of a stretch to assume that Jump distance may be limited to ship-class specific modules.
