Why would "V" declare the war with mercenary coalition mutual? It just doesn't make sense. The first day of the war they got hit pretty damn hard. But TBH, I've never seen a reputable merc corp lose a contract or anything for a sustained amount of time. This just allows MC to issue surrender terms, say maybe something having to do with V's cap II BPO (I'm 90% sure they have one), and just cost them more money. Bad choice if you ask me.

I want to know, and with the fact that Merc corps rarely ever lose I don't understand their reasoning for this. Especially since this makes it so the client of MC (wonder who?) doesn't really have to pay their mercs for the contract. I've said nothing about how V aren't honorable or anything like that, I'm just trying to figure out what their reasoning was. Now if you would kindly go back to your cage, so I can get my answer. K,thx, bye.

I dunno why it's mutual, but about this "only way to finish the war is to surrender".. Erm, there's a context menu to cancel mutual? /me shrugs.

By the same reasoning, when MC get their next contract, they are still gonna have to deal with V hunting them in empire. Sure they may get a lot of ganks, but its going to be a pain in the ass having the empire war forever.

Frankly the only pain in the ass is not being able to AP 30 jumps. But hell, i'd gladly trade that for something to shoot at.
The more red the better i'm sure a large % of my alliance mates would agree.

Since Persh has posted on here now, I have to say he's the one that said to end a mutual war both sides have to come to some sort of surrender terms otherwise it can't be ended. So blame it on him, but he's a little slow in the head, so lets not make him take it too hard for his incorrectness.

We'll be back in a war with you guys shortly... I just had massive amounts of stuff around empire that I had to pick up, and you guys would have highly hampered that had I still had wars. Just about done, nother 195 jump trip in my hauler and I'll be ready.

No, I believe im right. Both sides need to agree to end a mutual war. I could be wrong, I dont want to find out for sure cause id have to hit the retract button, if i did the war might retract and then there would be less targets |

TBH I had the same questions as Zarth. If V thinks that we are in this for fun or as some sort of amusement then they have grossly misread the situation. We are enjoying the fights and V seems to have a lot of heart, but when our contract comes to an end that will be the end of it.
Regardless, even Stan and his boys in 5 left the 'mutual with MC' cat in the bag. They understand what the MC is. Wars don't last forever, even this big one and the last thing any alliance wants is over a hundred bored PvPers hunting down every stray indy and agent runner they have day in and day out.
Right now this Great War is the 'cool thing to do'. Our pilots just want to make the blinking red boxes go boom. That's the only thing we care about.
All of this talk about the mutual war seems to be left over from the days of the very start of the game. The "two people sitting in a station" stuff I have not seen anyone state that this is fact beyond the over three year old 'Gemini' documentation that existed even before the concept of mutual wars.
Recently, FA declared war on ASCN. ASCN made it mutual and AFAIK, FA was able to retract the war with no problem.
If that has changed though, V should know that Mercenary Empress can only fly a shuttle and she has everything delivered to her. You won't be seeing her going anywhere to 'surrender'.
Edited for clarity and 7 in the morning grammer. -

Well, All I had to do as the side declaring to end the mutual war with B-I a month ago was hit 'retract'.
So all you really are doing by makeing a war mutual is cutting the fees for the agressor.

MC are just 1 of 4 wars...25% priority on my part..I fear NBSI more tbh..
The good thing bout MC is that you know where you have them.. If they have only 5 in local they have more on the other side..
The others are a bit harder to figure out..
MC are good but not uber like some people think.. http://bydi.digilo.net/forum/ http://bydi.digilo.net/evekill/

Some of you remember when people actually knew what they were talking about? My guess would be the time when the war bills were all messed up. Like when a corp left and then joined the alliance, the bill would go up like 10 fold, something like that. I'm definately exploiting here, sure. I think that anybody who leaves an alliance during a war should be banned from the game. That would take out roughtly 1/2 of what was the former Xetic Alliance, one corp from .5., some more from this current war, etc. Shutup dude, and get your facts straight. (I can't seem to get my opinions straight btw, but a CVA guy cleared that up)
