That would take out roughtly 1/2 of what was the former Xetic Alliance, one corp from .5., some more from this current war, etc. Shutup dude, and get your facts straight. Sorry, I am confused here.

Some Snigg guy replyed to my post about how I had to move things around and I left the alliance so I could do so. And him saying I'm using an exploit. I just woke up so I can't exactly remember what I just posted.

So it appears MC should be able to retract the war without any difficulties when the contract expires, and this move by -V- is simply an ISK-saving tip of the hat to our latest adversary, in line with usual practice (eg NBSI).
So really, nothing changes and this shouldn't even be news, let alone an opportunity to smacktalk.

Originally by: Zarthanon Why would "V" declare the war with mercenary coalition mutual? It just doesn't make sense. The first day of the war they got hit pretty damn hard. But TBH, I've never seen a reputable merc corp lose a contract or anything for a sustained amount of time. This just allows MC to issue surrender terms, say maybe something having to do with V's cap II BPO (I'm 90% sure they have one), and just cost them more money. Bad choice if you ask me.
Why hasn't anyone locked this rubbish yet?
We like to fight, they like to fight = mutual fight. No X Files here im affraid.

Dear MC.
-V- already got 2 weeks fight against 3 honourable alliances in the NC area. So you are now No 4.
1st. You declared on us the war.
2nd. We make them mutual.
3rd. You want it and we make it mutual. So wait and stay prepared. Lets have fun.

Alternatively MC could keep the money - why do the client gain from it being mutual between respected partners. That doesn't make sense.

I am not sure what you mean drilla?
The money the client saves is the war costs, they still have to pay MC to wage said war.
Which I am sure is a lot more than 50-100 mill a week.

TBH I had the same questions as Zarth. If V thinks that we are in this for fun or as some sort of amusement then they have grossly misread the situation. We are enjoying the fights and V seems to have a lot of heart, but when our contract comes to an end that will be the end of it.
That's the difference between mercenaries and knights in shiny armor (us ofcourse ), we keep on fighting and don't need a contract to tell us when to stop

It boils down to this:
We are -V- and this is how we do things.
They are MC and that is how they do things.
The two philosophies are not contradictory at all, they are merely cultural differences which will have little impact on the way the war is fought.

In case anyone is interested, payments are always X(whatever Seleene says it is for the opportunity to kill folks) + war costs. Since war costs are 0 now, it's just X+0 :) ....................................... FREEDING FRENZY ______)\______)\_____/(_______ ______)\______\o/____/(_______

I find this move by -V- to be more than strange. If it were any other alliance I would applaud the decision, but not against MC.
Effectively your decision to make the war mutual has only reduced the cost of the contract for MC's client(s).
And as soon as the contract expires, if MC remain true to form, they will simply retract the war (basically surrendering) and make a statement to that effect. -- Intergalactic Teeth Pullers "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." Perhaps it is just that the politics of someone else paying is irrelevent to us, we just appreciate a fight.. We're here to play, and if they give us fun, then sure mutual is good. I don't think there's any intention to persue MC beyond the duration of their contract, we'd have no reason to.
If F-E want to pay people to fight their fight, it's their choice, it's a bit sad but f-e aren't a pvp alliance so it's understandable. Doesn't matter to -v-, we're here to have fun, MC are providing that fun.. Why put isk into a sink?
That's my oppinion btw, nothing official ofc.

I just wanted to say, for the record, that V has the most agressive pilots I've flown against since we started the MC. FoE was a fun war with tons of fights, but V makes you work for every kill.
V warps into us and fights. We warp into V and they stay to fight. Niether side seems to be trying to dodge a good slugfest when the odds are anywhere close to even and they don't scatter and log even when the odds start to stack against them.
Very little smack in local combined with some of the best EW I've ever seen... V is making us earn this paycheck. -

Its all a question of how u wanna act in a game. our opinion is no need for smack , no need to log out (except i have to do something else),if u have to fight -> we fight .nobody said u will always win but what u lose is a ship and money what u cant lose is your honourand the awesome feeling if u smash ur enemy 2:1 outnumbered. If u ever want to apply for -V- make sure u have a beserkermode button u can switch on anytime

Agreed. After numerous fights both with 5 and VI, I have to say that VI have more guts and are tougher to kill. Sometimes that does not work to good for them (like yesterday), but I think they have proven to be a very good PvP alliance so far.
No idea why they would choose the pirates side in this war though. They does not seem to be the pirating/grieving type of players.

You invade our space, attack our pilots and then have to hire a Merc Corp because you've bitten off more that you can chew......and you call us pirates....Priceless.
