My friends Amarr. It is some months now since the dispicable act that saw the death of our Emporer. Yet still we, the common folk still see nothing but an empty throne. The portents read that we are heading towards gravely troubled times, yet the different Royal Houses seem bent on only forwarding their own cause rather then serving the need of the Empire. Daily we see more and more incursions into Amarr space by brigands, pirates and those who have their own personnal axe to grind against the Amarr. How much longer do we have to wait until we have a steady hand at our helm again and a unifying power to drive the Empire back to it's rightfull place as the dominant force within this which we call Eve?

I am with you in agreement on this issue. But a new Emperor will be ordained by God. Already those who work for the Emperor behind the scenes are hard at work preparing for His return. A true Emperor, one who rises above the bickering of the royal houses, will be delievered and save us all. Perhaps we are not yet worthy in God's eyes for another Emperor? I myself have taken a new hardline at that which is not holy. From disgusting imported holoreels to supporting no rights for interogated terrorists I see the dangers of the new universe and have adjusted accordingly. God is testing us and we must not fail.
You must have faith.

Faith is good, a new Emperor is better, if you'll excuse the blunt oversimplification. If the wheels are turning then at least some signs should be made visible to the public. The current situation only gives rise to the wildest rumours and also sheds a bad light on the Empire as a whole. How much longer do we have to endure snide comments from the lesser races?
Thank you, Max Godsnottlingson, for bringing this issue to the front yet again. ----------------------------------------------------------------

My thanks for your strong words Archbishop. Perhaps my one weakness is that I do not share the same strong faith as you have to guide my soul. Though well versed in the scriptures I am a man of practicality and substance and need to feel, see, and on occasion touch things to believe in them. Sadly all I see is the Amarr ways being eaten away. Yes I must accept some resonsibility for this, in so much as I live a secular life, as a Freelancer pilot I perhaps have too much contact with those of the lessor races. But I have also met many of those of the so called, lessor races, yes even those of the slave race, who have stronger Amarr traits then many I know born within the high houses of the Thone Worlds. I suspect that there are too many like me who while weak in spirit are still none the less good Amarrians, willing to make sacrifice for the good of the Empire, and wanting to bring those who are misfortunate enough to have been born outside the Empires borders into our fold. But to do so, the likes of myself, we need to see someone tangible, somebody real, somebody who we can trust to lead us in the right direction. That is what I need, that is what I hope for, and yes, that is what I prey for, even in my weakened state of grace. Because first and foremost I am Amarr and to be Amarr should be to look down on all the other races as a glowing example of what shall be, and not the blind warrior we seem to becoming. Blind to the dangers about us and thus unable to smite it with our strength, without the sight of a leader no amount of strength will protect us from the coming dangers. From which of the Royal houses our Emperor comes I have no care, I have faith enough in those who will decide. But I and many others of the Amarr need somebody to we can point to and say with pride "This is the person who I will follow."

We the Caldari will gladly fill that position. Under Caldari leadership, all of EVE will get to know what true military leadership mean.

*raises and eyebrow* Your words mean nothing. Keep your mouth shut on internal Amarr matters, Caldari. Especially, when your utterance is as ridiculous as the one quoted above. ----------------------------------------------------------------

I'm sure the powers that be are deciding on the process by which our new Emperor will be selected.
However, my main concern at the moment is about House Sarum. It is now nearly two years since Jamyl Sarum's death, it is imperative that they announce the name of their new Heir as soon as possible.
We cannot have a new Emperor without a full set of Heirs competing for the throne.

I do not underestimate Caldari. And I cannot see what brought you to the conclusion I did. However, my answer to the last Caldari invading upon this thread has equal validity for you, Bonthrees. ----------------------------------------------------------------

Are we of a new Emperor yet? Are we willing to die for the new Emperor? We sit and wait for a new emporer to be declared, while Minmatar roam freely about.

In light of the frustrations and anticipation to the issues of a new emperor and house Sarum's heir. It is with heartfelt pride that I have seen a set-aside of some minor squibbles by Amarrians of different views and stances rise up above all and continue the Lords work together. These acts only confirm that our beliefs are strong as well as our common goals and directions. In the storms of disarray the strong shall rise up and become stronger. ___________________________

I wonder if perhaps this time your God will choose one he does not allow to be assassinated, or go mad. For all these divine 'tests' the Amarr seem to be undergoing, perhaps once they can get it right. Perhaps if the Amarr would take an open look at the realities of the universe they may realize that God seems to be 'wrist slapping' them more and more. Perhaps they need to rethink their primative and barbaric ways.
Either free the slaves or we will come and get them.

God? *sighs* I see even with the death of yet another of our Emperor's, most of my fellows still have yet to outgrow this religion-rules-all thinking.
Luckily I'm not waiting on some God that does not exist. The Empire needs leadership again. And that means an Amarr at the throne...a living person.
I would urge all who beleive in a new, freer thinking Empire to stand up in this dire time. The houses are falling into petty bickering, and the religious zealots would be no better off.
The Empire will continue, that is the only truth in Amarr society. But now is our time: Move within the system of our Empire and sieze our chance for much-needed change. We can bring about a new golden age for our people and even a few other races who aren't going to shoot first and ask questions never. The old-guard must go. Our chains have loosened and it's time for reforms. No more slavery, no more religous mumbo-jumbo drowning our Empire into decay while the others advance.
hmm...well I suppose my words as always will fall on deaf ears. I am not here to promote the death-knell of our Empire. Never. I find terrorists as disgusting as our own religious fanatics. No, I'm here to see the Empire progress for the better. We have a destiny to fullfill...one that must begin with change. If not I can still forsee a different path with these 'alliances' tearing down all the old 'regimes' walls down. Not just Amarr, but even Gallente, Caldari and Minmatarr space.
But then again I could just be wrong about everything. I'm no prophet, just a visonary. Go back to blasting each other out of the stars...I'll endure either way.

Here's a thought. If this god you speak of does exist how do you know he's not a Matari. After all we have undergone far greater hardships and suffered more atrocities than any other nation at the barbaric hands of the Amarr.
Perhaps this deity is testing us for the day we will rise to glory and the Empire was just a tool which has been discarded to decay.
Personally I think this god thing is just a fairytale excuse to behave like animals but thats just me.
End all your troubles, free the slaves.

Edited by: Nyaari Sharenti on 24/11/2005 10:06:03 Fools. 'Tis been but a scant few months in the long and glorious history of our blessed Empire. A new Emporer will be reveiled when the time is right. Until that day, have patience. The Empire may be experiencing a few, minor, interal squabbles. These, too, will be appropriately resolved with time. The discovery of a new, chosen, Emporer may not be forthcoming as soon as all would hope. In the mean time, however, remain firm in your Amarrian convictions. Do not heed the foolish words of those who doubt the glory of the Amarr!

Your 'Glory' reched it's apex several hundred years ago. Now, like a sun past Noon it is begining to set. Certainly a new Emperor will be chosen, but first the bribes and political pressures must first be complete, to allow the newest leader, chosen by politicians, proclaimed chosen by God, can take his/her place.
Step aside Amarr, you are a relic of a primative and barbaric time of expansion and enslavement, and your time is at an end. Like all things unwilling to accept change, you are marked for extinction by your own hands. Adapt, change and evolve. These are universal laws of survival the Amarr Empire seems unable to do.

God has spoken to me in a vision!
He has told me i must rise up and and sit upon the throne as the new amarr emperor! Brothers and Sisters rejoice for you will be leaderless no longer! We must unite the caldari and amarrian militaries and wage war upon the vile gallente who corrupt our amarrian morals and defile our caldari ancestrial home! Those that not only house the minmatar but accually set them free and treat them as equals.
Go with god and spread the word. _______________________________________________

Cast out these Matari fools, for they have no place here. Look at yourselves you form a Republic and only manage to retain less than one half of you own race's population! The rest we keep where you would never dare attempt to reach, and an even smaller amount pitifully hides withing the Gallente states. Caldaris and Gallente must also not underestimate the new order of thing for in time perhaps after this cold war we will again rise the the top. Your states will for the first time see the golden glints of an Amarrian warfleet, only then after you meet us in battle will you have the right to critize our ways you slime.
As for the condition of our state and our government, I feel that it is Gods will that there has yet to be a successor, forseably soon the Navy and other factions may begin a revolution and only good may come of it. Embrace some change my fellow Amarr for we are the chosen race. All that oppose us will tremble at the sight of our military might. I cannot tell you much but the navy has just commisioned a class of ships sure to lead the way and help us begin the Reclamation once again.
I leave you on good terms my Amarr brethern

I dunno, I think Rodj Blake has a point about the Sarumites. I remember Jamyl's shame, and it's surprising that so much time has passed without a new Sarum heir coming forth. How can a new Emperor be set upon the throne if heirs are missing?
Oh, and Rockbox? Easy on the frothing, you're not making any sense. The Minmatar citizens of the Federation aren't "pitifully hiding". Especially not the one sleeping in my bed...
