I would like to say to you guys, thanks for a brilliant fleet battle down in Q0OH-V yesterday evening, it was a first BIG fleet fight for me and was great fun and lots of action.
Props to you all
P.S. NO ONE even dare to de-rail my thread, this is purely a thankyou for an entertaining evening.

I thought lag was OK. It was there, but bearable. Got a delay that varied between 2-3 seconds and as much as 10-15 seconds. But at least modules activated!

After the node died for the second time late 01.15 I went to bed. Good to hear there still was a fight with reasonable lag. Till next time:)

I'm surprised BoB actually fell for it tho. I was half expecting you to have to take out delve before they did anything.

i heard strange things on ts
crashes, relog with no mods fitted, relog with no skills, relog and all mods offline
etc
etc

I tell ya what, we had a similar thing ppl having to log off before hand, the journey there itself a funny story of crashes and relogs, but we eventually made it hehe.
Well we havent had much great fights of late, it seem to be mainly ganking and such but this was such a refreshing change, not having to chase ppl around, just go toe-to-toe and have at it, in your face style 15km dog fight.
Brilliant fun as it should be, again respect to all involved.

Twas a great fight going on TS, sadly I was assigned to watching out for the 100 man FIX fleet to the North of us too. Got bored and went to watch the action, only to lag out on warp exit and find myself in a pod :( Luckily managed to get it out.
So didn't actually get involved at all :( But was a great fight. Lag hit early but glad the node didn't break down during the fight :D
Twas lucky FIX didnt show and break the node completely :P

Quite a few systems around that area seemed pretty bad... lagging people out, crashing, forcing to relog and whatnot. Was pretty laggy moments in the battle too, and some people reported taking minutes to actually load things... but compared to last experience in the north, it's still great improvement ^^;;

No, props to you and the rest of BoB, real professionals, the whole lot of you. There was no running, no ultra safe hiding, just pure OMGWTFPWNAGE, the kind that make the $30 registration fee for fraps worth it.

I agree. Seems to be better in the south, I didn't even have to relog!
I wonder if it would have held up if that FIX blob arrived as well

So thats what happened to the G/IRON fleet we were supposed to fight  .
Though I'm guessing if our 100-man fleet jumped into the system where you guys were fighting, the entire server would crash.

Yeah was a good one, laggy but playable. Sure better than x47, but the nodes in the south aren't better than the north one imo.
lost meh poor crow though
@FIX
I think the days of 100+ vs 100+ are gone, maybe it'll change but I don't count on it.

What's strange is lag affects people/sides so differently and seemingly randomly.
I was in this fight as well and got yelled at because I wasn't shooting a target in the beginning - well, he wasn't THERE! ;)
By the time he showed up for me (after a lagspike of some sort) he was already dead.
Hostiles showed up more and more in subsequent lagspikes. After that I struggled with 15 sec module activation lag. Near the end it started to clear up though.
I think G got hit a lot worse than us though.
The opposite happened in 16p this night I think, where the fleet being jumped (us) suffered the worst lag - as opposed to yesterday where the fleet jumping (G) suffered the worst.

funny, I was going to say the opposite, I blame the G lag generator tbh... it seem to follow you

Only 21 managed to fire before it popped, that is  .
We had over 80 ships on the gate, easily.
It died so fast that even though my guns had only 5 RoF, and I was one of the first to lock and fire, and I STILL only got one volley off.

Only saw the first one to arrive to the battlefield  .

one volley? I only got off 2 out of 6 guns before I popped it. granted they were 1400mms :).

GF BoB, it was a lot of fun and the lag wasn't very bad compared to some of the other fleet battles i have been in. (my mods actually activated)
