And for all trolls around, if u cant be enough mature to keep your outgame feelings out of the forums, i'll start to petition all replies of that nature. Afaik, they called themself French Force Alliance to be quickly recognized as a french speaking community. But I dont think they'll refuse any english pilot in their rank. By the way, we playing same game and your motherlanguage, afaik, doesnt give you an advantage on the bf's. Your comment was based on nationality and as far as i'm concerned does not suit game forums at all. Now you're trying to look good by adding more and more crap to this. Just apologize, remove your comment and get over it: your sense of humor sucks. That kind of jokes/comments are stupid, whatever nationality they may target (I guess german players know what I'm talking about). Dear friendly customer... Can I have your money ?

I remember they moved through doril in one gang of roughly 50. The next time i saw them almost a month later they were in GW safespotted between V fleets.

Ortu Konsinni	Posted - 2005.11.08 02:25:00 - [60] I may be biased in this, but anyway: it's one thing to cr ack jokes about the French, the Americans, the British or whatever, and I have no problem with that (although personally I think it's best to avoid them altogether in public as it's bound to make problems one way or another). Jokes about the French typically revolve around several things: for example, our alleged lack of hygiene, or our arrogance. In essence, that's all perfectly fine to joke about despite the fact that it annoys me as a Frenchman (sorry, I'm just sensitive like that), because it's mostly harmless as Adams would say. However, another type of joke about the French revolves around us surrendering all the time and generally being bad soldiers, and that is not acceptable considering our historical background which the authors of the jokes conveniently (or genuinely) ignore. If you consider just the 20th century, WW1 was very hard and traumatizing for us (and everyone else involved) but we never gave up. As for WW2, we surrendered because there was no hope left. Most would've done the same given the circumstances, and I believe that claiming otherwise is the illusion of one whose country has never been invaded. Bad planning, major strategic errors, poor intelligence work and the Germans simply having a better plan did not leave us with much margin, and while the ideal of defending your home to the last man is commendable, I rather agree that it was better to cut our losses and protect civilians as best as possible seeing as how we would've been defeated anyway. Calling us cowards at the time, and even to this day, is an insult to the memory of the ones who died defending France and I'm afraid I cannot accept that kind of joke, for all the world cares (which I'm aware isn't much, but I'll still state my opinion regardless, like it or not). I'll skip mentioning the other, much less important conflicts which France was involved in during the 20th century and let you reflect on everything that took place before the 20th century, which is pretty similar to the military history of every other European nation, i.e. a mix of victories, ties and defeats, i.e. nothing special. All in all, by now I've grown used to that kind of comment and I simply ignore them, but it still does and always will annoy me. And while I understand that everyone needs to target jokes at someone -- why were WE picked as the alleged worst cowards of history, of all things?
