Looking for a cloaky Legion fit for running C1-C3 sites. Never flown one before, but I will practice with it before entering the WH. |

The cloaky subsystem is the offensive subsystem for T3s. Meaning if you use it, you severely neuter your DPS. And the Legion is only so-so for DPS anyway.
You'd probably be better off having a scan alt doing whatever it is you plan to have it cloaky for in the first place. http://www.TalocanUnited.com |

Depends on what you're using it for. If you're looking at running sites, a couple remote-rep Tengus are an effective (if staple) way to run sites. http://www.TalocanUnited.com |

What he's trying to politely say is that the Legion sucks for being a cloaky PVE ship. In fact, I'd posit that all T3s with cloaky subs are no good. Either get a scout to watch for you, or run that ***** in a Drake if you're concerned about the ISK loss. |

I'm better trained for guns and drones instead of missiles. Otherwise I would Tengu and Drake it up. I have an Ishtar available, would that at least handle C2s? |

Ishtar will do. Just manage your drones.
I know a guy that used to use active zealots for c2's. May be worth looking into. That or the new Navy Harbi has some nice stats you can likely make work in your favor. |

If you're really set on using a legion the only way you will make it work is if you drop the cloaky sub and switch it for one of the damage subs (missiles or lasers take your pick)
You can still have the scanning sub in there, but unfortunately the cloaking Sub on a legion has no damage bonus making it a pretty poor choice for pve (or pvp in general)
Cheers,
Sith CCP please consider hats as a clothing option for our spaceship barbies.-á

This.
The Cov Ops subsystem on a Legion is by far the worst one of any of the T3s. It just has a bonus to cap use, it will sink your dps to levels at which you might as well be using almost anything else.
If the possible loss of assets of a T3 bothers you, then I suggest you use a cheaper ship. I come to this conclusion by thinking about why someone would really want the cov ops option on a T3. It's to hide. A Legion can't do that and still fight worth a damn though. If you're down to that, a different ship is really the unavoidable choice.
If you're skillsets are drones and guns, like someone else said, the Ishtar is pretty cool.
But overall the Drake is also a very popular option due to it's cheapness. Not posting on my main, and loving it.-á Because free speech.-á |

The legion does however make a pretty baller cloaky neut boat or a cloaky logistics platform. |

But if you are really set on a Legion you could go to battle clinic and see about a fit there or just experiment using EFT when they decide to update it feel free to PM me in game and ill gladly help you out with a fit. |

Confirming that a Zealot is indeed badass for C2s, you can get 600 gun dps out of it and still have enough tank to run sites |

Great feedback. I'll stick with Ishtar and look in to the Zealot as well. About the Zealot, is it more forgiving CPU-wise compared to the Ishtar? |

Here's the Zealot fit I used for C2s, you need to keep the AB speed up as some waves can just break your tank but you can easily get under the guns of the BS, 630 max dps with Conflag (useful against BS) and 450dps to 39km with Scorch. It's a really fun boat to fly, though a Harb can get almost the same performance for much less cost (except the 40km range which is basically what you're paying for)

For C3s you can use a Zealot too but it's not advisable as the tank is iffy and the dps will be pathetic. There's this cool video of RiotRick doing it in a full T2 fit though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNTaP4Iamcg
I'd suggest going for a regular Legion for C3s if you already have good medium lasers skills, never tried an Ishtar though. Here's a cheap fit: [Legion, C3s]

I fly a legion in a c3 and it is my favorite ship. I have a tengu too. The legion is great for c3 or less solo with a cheap fit and anyone that says otherwise has NEVER flown it in a wh before.

it cost about 450-500mil with only one piece of faction gear that even could be downgraded but shouldnt be.

I got the medium t2 pulse laser skills, just need to finish ship and subs. Will use Ishtar for now and look in to these Legion fits when training finishes. Does the new Navy Omen compare at all or is it too squishy? |
