okies so Im on the hunt for em! :D
I procurred a couple of hidden bookmarks to test the ole cosmic signature setting in scanner, ie what it will look like how far away it show up etc,
just had a couple of questions.
is there a specific sec rating range that they apear in? right now im cruisin through mostly .3 areas.
are they always near planetary bodies? the few I already have that I bought are all near such, which IS convieniant if thats the norm for system scanning.
any other pointers out there for general system sweeping?

I just wanna know if there really _are_ hidden complexes,
or if people are not just referring to the ordinary ones who has a beacon to warp to.
Are there really complexes without beacons, that you need to find using scanner and probes ?

I think its a bit like asking people for advice on where the best trade routes are. If you have found them then you are not likely to share information on how you did so - why makes things easy for the competition.

There are hidden complexes out there, I found one just the other day which is a *rare* one to find. Now all i need to do is see if it can be done solo'ed.

The information I have been told is that most hidden complex's are fake.
I have also been told that hidden complex's do not have a rating... which make sence.
Anyhow I am aware of only 1 complex that has BS's for you to fight and can be entered by a BS and is in a 0.5 . I am willing to sell this information for 100mil. It has three gates, gates 2 and 3 have BS's, including some 2.5mil rats. Eve-mail me and I will give you the location.

there are hidden mission points ie there is a 6x cruiser spawn in hier system that contains a gate (missions get sent there occasionally) but u can revisit the station without the missions if u have a bookmark of its location (i do) and u can play with em and get 45k ISK bounties.

hidden complexes do exist, and are peppered (thinly) round lowsec empire. i know the exact location of one, and i know of the existence of 3 others.
so yes, they do exist, but never pay anyone you don't know and trust for their location. you will more than likely just get a random BM to somewhere, or even worse, a BM to a pirate corp's POS

Use the scanner dude, scan at star then scan at each planet/object beyond the scan range of the star. Use a filter. Complexes will have specially named rats in them.
Anyone know if these hidden complexes occur in 0.0?

Gimme a shout if you need someone else to find a hidden complex in a system.
Ofc, you have to be certain that there is one, i.e. someone has seen the cosmic signature.
You also need to have good isk in your pocket to make me move :}
But on the other hand... I'm playing X3 atm

I have a BM for the 'Tasui Wardrake complex' in the Thelan system. Conv me ingame and I'll give it to you.
Be warned though, it has deadly defences :) It can obliterate 3 BS's in the first wave, so bring some friends along.

I have the very same BM. Though the complex is called "Taisu Magdesh's Stronghold" and the first gate has around 30 30k angel frigs and an BS at the first stage. You know those frig's are going to hurt!! Taisu himself is a 1mil Raven spawn.

While we're on this I came accross a mission (I think it was a while ago about 7 or 8 months)
And there was a gate on it, When I moved 80km in my BS, to use the Gate, it said " To use this gate you require the Skill plasma Physics" (Or to that effect)
Has anyone else encountered one of these ?

sonorra - yes there are hidden complexes, I have BMs to a couple and used them to test cosmic signature settings in the scanner.
no they dont have beacons, they are after all hidden *grins*
and yes you use your scanner to find one in a system then a series of probes to locate the gate.
Ascend, space is a fairly big place im sure theres plenty to go around
Lord Warathon they dont have a listed rating but one way to check is to see what size ships you are allowed to enter with, the bigger the ship the higher its rating.
to those offering to show me hiddens thank you :) but thats not what this post was about.
please refer to the original post in this thread, Ive got some specific questions related to the finding of said hiddens
Turtlehead, its common for hiddens to require some sort of key, for example one of my hiddens requires a crystal sansha tag
as far as skillbased keys though nope never heard of such but sounds cool.

That is the 'surging gate' in the 5/10 Rogue drone complex. You need Plasma Physics to IV. Then you can take a shortcut that will save you 2 levels which in turns saves you at least an hours time and is well worth the SP time if you run it often.

I'm a complex hunter and scanner expert. I can use all the scanning probes, an a fine hand with the scanner and was busting safespots before probes came into effect. I specialise in finding objects in a system that have no scannable signatures (can't use probes to find them). However, secret complexes have deadspace signatures that you can use probes to scan for. That's pretty much all there is to it - use probes to find em.
