#1 gothic I ( hands down best rpg game ever)
#2morovind+tribunal+ bloodmoon ( wery long , big and nice game)
#3 dungeon siege 2 ( new toy, good grafic, good skill sytem)

Not in the slightest my favouite genre..
But....
A few have dragged me in over the years, the first was the rings of power on the megadrive, then i got caught up in the hype of FF7 and loved every minute of it, same situation with morrowind.
Top 3, you betcha.

1. Ultima VII
- You always found yourself half-way through a sub-plot without realising it. The actual game itself was only 10-12 hours, but the sub-plots doubled that. This is also the best as it's not a RPG-on-rails, like almost any other game that's out there at the moment.
2. System Shock
- The first and only game that I stopped playing because I found it too scary. It's worryingly clastrophobic.
3. Final Fantasy VII
- The only game that I've considered to be truly massive.

Diablo 2 gets an honorable mention, I still play that but I will not class it as an RPG (same thing with Dungeon Siege 1-2, although DS isnt nearly as fun.)

My top three of all time would consist of:
- Baldur's Gate II (SoA + ToB)
- Deus Ex
- Neverwinter Nights
But I should add that I loved Morrowind (never played expasions), Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale I & II, System Shock II, KotoR I & II and Jade Empire (XBox), and older...Shadowrun (Megadrive), Secret of Mana (SNES). Looking forward to Oblivion at the end of the month..but distraught that it comes out at almost the same time as Prince Of Persia III on XBox

Final Fantasy 8 was pretty good but not great. Nothing beats the flexibility of materia, it's like ship modules in EVE

FFVII da daddy RPG - had the most memorable bad guy ever and the materia system was brilliant. I couldnt stop playing and when i had i played it again. i think ive put some 500 hours into that game and now consider it truly and utterly used and abused - Yet i have heard rumours that there will be a remake for the PS3, which if true means i will again lose ridiculous amounts of time lost in its world. I know its sad but i do not care FFVII is the best hands down, and ive played ALOT.

If No One Lives Forever is an rpg, this is my favorite. It is laugh til you hurt funny...
Otherwise, Deus Ex was very good, and ShoGo. Loved the opening credits, theme song on ShoGo but the game itself was just too short. Liked it all the same.
