I was juat wondering what type of online game this is? To clear some things up. I don't have the box with me for I am at work but according to This Link it is a MMORPG, which stands for Massive Multiplayer Online RolePlaying Game. I was wondering if this is correct?
Is this a first person shooter like unreal torny? Or a statigy like Warcraft I II and III? or a RPG? I see alot of mods posting would we be able to get a response to clear this up?
Not flaming or complaining just curious. Plz take no Offence.

LOL but what type of MMOG? Unreal Torny is online and a Massive amout of players play the game online, and that one is a first person shooter..
And if it is nothing more then a MMOG then why do all the magizines and gamers sites catgorize it and a RPG or MMORPG???? Are those guys wrong? Are the advertizing the game wrong? I thought I bought a RPG.

Of course why would they make roleplay a required part?? some people arn't very good at it or think it is silly. I'm just wondering if it is a RPG or not knowing full well that in any RPG you don't have to roleplay.

I couldn't find any MMOGs that aren't catigorized as RPGs of MMORPGs, well at least I don't know of any(still looking). I saw on the Web about this MMORPG called Eve and that is how I got interested in it. I like RPG games.
You can roleplay in almost any game even unreal.
But there are some games designed for roleplaying inmind (that is why Gamer magizines put them under the CAT of RPG). Games that incourage it, that want you to. Not just say "oh its fun to roleplay here if you want"
Thats what I'm wondering is this an RPG? Not that it will keep me from playing it if it isn't a RPG I'm too addicted. Just wondering.

So are those Magizines are wrong to catagorize it?
Should it just be under Online Game Genre and thats it. Or is that a perpose for the way it is designed that make it an RPG. Agian know that you don't have to roleplay, just that it is setup to encourage it.

Since you went off subjest and mentioned RP haters (not to mention any names) But I thought it was very unprofessional and offencive to go on a forum that is designed for Roleplayers and flame them calling them monkeys on a thread that oviously took a lot of time and effort into creating. Only to have some Nameless indevidual Post.....

Sorry I didn't mean to get angry in that last post, but I was really really offended by him and I didn't even write the Thread he did that in. I do not think CCP will do anything to him its only my opinion. But...
These are all good arguments and it seems to me that people take it the way they want too and CCP left it broad to attrack more ppl. I like the roleplaying in it even though some people have to go and ruin it for others.
I was surprise more people didn't post saying that also thought it was a RPG.

The only part of my argument that hasn't been address is what the Gamer Magizines and website catigoriz it as. They all put it under RPG or MMORPG.
So when you go to there site to buy it that is the catagory that they advertize it under. and not.... MMOSBPWRTTPVPSSORPGEDPCM Lol
Does that mean they are providing false advertizment for Eve???
